Let’s just say when you visit an established business with a national wide name your hoping that everything will be taken care of and in a very professional matter. This definitely wasn’t the case with the location for fort mill, sc. my husband and I were to be filing our taxes through them for the first time together. We were told and reminded several times of our appointment coming up given several reminders every day. However, come appointment time we never were told our tax preparer was out and we would perhaps have to reschedule or wait additional time for another tax preparer to take over for us. After finally being waited on the lady stated she would have to follow back up with us and this were the communication continued to fail from their part. Additionally since when does business Employees discuss about a murder suicide that occurred at that business. My husband and I continued to call and follow up and leave voicemails and emails. Without getting any communication from them. Another situation arose and I decided to file married filing separately, this was stated through 3 separate phone calls. Then they continued to not communicate with me, I continued to follow up daily through phone and email and waited patiently for these individuals to get my taxes done. They finally had everything drawn up and I was able to come in and sign in office and was told everything was done correctly. This was false my taxes were never filed for the state of Ohio only for South Carolina. I also had followed up cause we have City taxes as well in Ohio and those were never prepared and I would need my official tax documents for this to be completed. I finally was able to talk to the head manager Ladonna and the district manager and informed that my husband whom I’m estranged from was given all my legal documentation with no apologies or remorse for their mistakes. I caught Ladonna in several lies and have place multiple calls to the district manger with no communication still to this day it’s been a week. I was charged over 300 dollars and never have filed with them and I only had one part time job and 2 children to claim. If your able to find someone local support local over this disgusting establishment and I will be following up with the local fort mill chamber and better business bureau. People need to be informed cause messing with something that deals with jail time or heavy fines is no joke.

I stopped going to this location, years ago, but my parents still use them. After this past experience with assisting in their taxes, I FURTHER MORE see why I left. The gentlemen, who handled their taxes, had the personality of a cactus. When I went to pick the forms up, he acted as though it was a bother for him. I even asked how he was and told him he seemed stressed. I myself am a manager, within fortune 500 company, and I would NEVER treat customers this way. I told my parents that I will be finding them someone else, going forward, because this service was far from good/pleasant or welcoming/inviting.

1 star because I can't go lower. I've been doing my own taxes online for years with HRB, but a software error on their site forced me to work with Fort Mill local employees, who I will graciously leave unnamed. Unprofessional, uninformed, gave consistently incorrect info, talked over me, and blamed me for additional mistakes.

First of all I was called I hr before my appointment to ask me to reschedule due to the preparer running late// ugh! I read the website that explained the amount H&R Block changes would be deducted from your return. It says NOTHING about on-line only!! With that being said the preparer wanted 280.00 up front and basically stated that as soon as I sat down!! Reallyyyyy// No thank you!! Extremely unprofessional communication!!! I will do my taxes myself... What a rip off H&R Block!!

They had to deal with loosing someone but still were professional and caring. I admire everyone in the office in Fort mill sc. I would definitely drive from Charlotte any time for these people.

not happy being charged almost $500 to prepare our 2019 taxes. We had no idea we would be charged this much to prepare the taxes. We do not own a business or require any extra work. Unacceptable. And when we questioned it with the guy who checked us out (not our accountant), he was very flippant when we questioned him about the charge. We will not be using them again.
