“Just found out about this place from a friend when she wanted to hop in here for her birthday. They were able to accommodate our party of 9 when we showed up a little after 5 on a Friday. Amazing wine options and my boyfriend was happy to see there were beer options available too!”

I can't say the same for some other shops in the area that I spoke with - who were rude and short - even being hung up on mid-question by a certain "Burrily" Surly older sounding fella who clearly shouldn't have a phone to be picking up. Gibby's - your selection is amazing, your staff deserve an extra nod and I appreciate that you go the extra mile. Will happily return here for many purchases to come.”
“This is the cutest local wine shops. The owner was the sweetest and so eager to help out. The shops is perfectly clean with a beautiful aesthetic. Great place nestled in old village. Check out the peep holes in the bathroom and the willie Nelson t shirts. Loved the dry white wines… we will be back very soon! Each visit is Berger than the last! We live it here!”

“OMG - the camembert with truffle cream is OUT OF THIS WORLD good. At $60 a pound, what else would you expect, especially if you like/love truffles (not the chocolate type). Wonderful selection of meats and cheese. Friendly folks, and they know their cheese.”
“The store hours previously listed were for the warehouse (South Carolina does not allow liquor sales after 7 p.m.). As this is an entry for Costco LIQUOR (the ABC part of the store), I submitted updated hours.Because they actually close at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, probably since the warehouse closes earlier.”
“My husband is from Texas and loves TX bourbon. He has a hard time finding it in a lot of the liquor stores, they usually have the TX whiskey, but not the bourbon. I stopped in to Forsberg's just to see if they had it. The gentleman working. There was extremely helpful and nice. I was able to score a bottle of TX bourbon for my husband. Now we know where to find this.”
“Sadly, I did not catch her name but the girl who works in the deli section (5/9 @ 3:30) deserves a raise! She mentioned over the phone she’s worked there for a little over a year. She called to tell me that something I ordered ahead online wasn’t available and asked if I wanted a substitute. I remember dealing with her in-store a few months ago and both my husband and I mentioned how kind and thorough she was at her job. It’s so hard to find good employees these days that actually take pride in their job let alone have good customer service skills. Do whatever you have to do to keep her around! She is management material.”

“Hey Y’all - The Pirate Hunter’s Food Review is back with another hidden local gem for a 5 star review! This little convenience store / restaurant combo is legit good home cookin’. Nothing over the top or super crazy fancy, but simply a master of the basics. Take for example this bragel (breakfast bagel) for example. Perfectly grilled crisp bacon & over medium eggs with American cheese on an everything bagel. A true power breakfast sammich right here on the go post ruck. If you don’t know me - I do 24 hr ruck challenges so food is important in fueling performance.In addition to this bragel, I’ve had the seasoned French fries which are great and the burger is like having a good backyard grill out without having to cook or do dishes! “This place is great one review had the owner as rude. I don't know if the lady I meant is the owner but she was super nice. She helped me pick out an offley 2000 vintage port which is great. We talked about maidera and port for over 30 mins. The guy in the wine store was also very nice and helpful. I will be back for that 1987 maidera.”
“My boyfriend and I had the chucktown hot chicken with fries and it was AMAZING. Not too spicy and the chicken was perfectly blackened and not too fried. The fries were some of the most delicious I've ever had. The ranch was delicious, and I am picky about my ranch! Their beer and cocktails SLAPPED and I would love to visit on a trivia night.”

They have a really good variety and selection of different items to choose from and I have always found what I was looking for and I usually get a few more items too. “I love this little store. I have cancer and can't wear a mask, and although I usually have someone else to send out for things, I've been alone for awhile here and had to go out today for the first time on my own to pick up groceries and was hoping to get some Jameson for the evening. Groceries I could order ahead, but not the liquor of course. Totally not essential, but as someone who has been quarantined much longer than the covid stuff, this little luxury means a lot to me, and is one of the small things I can look forward to on occasion to get past the harder days. Since it is not essential, however, I was completely prepared to hear 'no' when I called to ask. I sincerely appreciated (and was greatly delighted) that Cathy was able to accommodate me over the phone and through the glass so I did not have to enter and we did not have to have any contact or violate any ordinances. This gesture of kindness meant so much to me, but is so typical for what I'm used to from these folks. <3 This kind of thing is how we will survive this mess. Thank you for making my day.”

It's generally open 24 hours yet it's advisable to call 'cause there are cleaning & restocking activities. Always has parking.”

“The ladies restroom is dirty. There is mold growing on the sink faucets. You have to touch the paper towel holder with your clean hands to get one if it is not hanging out. The handicap toilet will not even flush the paper. The middle toilet has black mold growing in the bowl. We have shopped here since it has opened 30 years ago. Please clean the restroom!!!!!”
