I just had the best experience at the bank Today! I was helped by Mrs./Ms. Davis she is the nicest woman I've ever met at a bank, she was very sweet to me for it being my first time getting a loan I've been with south state for 8 years and some people st the other branches haven't been nice but she was awesome

I don't normally write reviews but today I had to make an exception. My Aunt did her banking at Southstate Bank and she recently passed away. I've been trying to get her affairs in order and I live in NY so it's been difficult. When I called Southstate I spoke with Miss Vestina Davis and she treated me with such kindness and compassion. She has gone out of her way to help me and I'm truly grateful. Thank you Miss Davis!

Bad service. I went to get my card printed their bald head manager told me they couldn’t print my card because my account was made online. Which I contacted the customer service people they told me that they should’ve printed my card regardless because I am a client of theirs. Then it’s been more than 14 business days and I’ve still haven’t received my debit card in the mail. I can’t even get any of my money out of their bank because they won’t print my card.

Customer Service is fine. It's the practices they use that is ridiculous. I've had about 3 different banks in the last 4 years and each one has had some type overdraft protection by blocking card transactions from putting you in the negative. My stepfather racked up over 500 dollars in overdraft fees via this issue over the course of 2 days.

Horrible service. They treated me like I didn't mean anything to them. Would not recommend that bank to anyone. Bank manager needs to learn how to treat people with respect.
