Just received the Fontana Forni Pizza Oven. The crate was in great shape and with no damage. As this is my 2nd wood fired pizza oven purchase, I can readily tell that this brand has much better build quality and design. Completed my first cook on the Fontana and it performed beautifully.

I recently had the pleasure of working with a sales rep named Pete, and he made the entire process smooth and easy. Any concerns or issues that came up along the way were handles with no problems, thanks to Pete 's excellent customer service.
However, I did encounter a problem with my purchase, which was the packaging of the products. The stones that came with my outdoor oven were not only wrapped in styrofoam. As a result, all of the stones ended up cracking and chipping during transit.
Despite this issue, I remain optimistic that the company will address the problem and replace the damaged stones without any issue. Overall, I had a great experience with the sales process and Pete's customer service.

This is our second Fontana pizza oven. When we sold our house to move to Florida, we left the Mangiafuoco at the old house. We then bought one of those countertop pizza ovens. What a waste of money. The countertop pizza oven would only hold one pie -doesn’t work when you are having a pizza party. We just had to have another Mangiafuoco. This oven will handle three very large pies. Yes, it is a little pricey, but well worth the money. It is a work horse.

I'm a two time owner of Fontana ovens. Had the Marinara Wood Burning oven for several years, and ended up including it in our home sale. Buyers insisted we leave it and we baked it into the deal.
Just got the Mangiafuoco since we down-sized homes, and working through the learning curve of pre-heating and maintaining temperature. I read a few of the other reviews and seems like there were some issues keeping temperature.
Wood size and diameter made all the difference for me. Invested in a small hand held splitter and 12-14" logs no greater than 2-3 inch diameter seem to burn the hottest. I've had no issues maintaining 700+ degrees on the deck and can cook a 12-14" pie in less than 90 seconds. Given how fast they cook, unless I've got someone manning the oven, I rarely need to worry about loading more than one pie at a time. Also lets me change spots each time. I can make 15-25 pies continuously without needing to pause to reheat the deck. Key is to get initial deck temp then constantly feed small log for top rolling heat.
Been in the pizza business more than 40 years, and have had experience with many wood burning ovens. Fontana is the best I've seen from perspective of ease of use, time to heat, etc.
Using 00 flour from Caputo and usually make the dough day prior. Simple San Marzano sauce and fresh mozzarella (dried on paper so no excess water)
Here are a few pics from last pizza night. Last one is an apple pie dessert pizza

Fontana Forni delivers a great product and service! I purchased a Mangiafuoco pizza oven in 2018 and have enjoyed countless hours of perfect use. The pizza oven, with its beautiful appearance and the flame engulfing the dome is impressive. It is a focal point of observation and discussion whenever we are making pies! Recently, we had an ice storm (Michigan) which caused a huge tree limb to fall and damage the top of the pizza oven. No problem! Quick call with follow up email and a new top was ordered and being processed for delivery immediately. Shout out to Mr. Philip Laing for his assistance!Posting a picture of the pizza oven damage and when not damaged in its full glory! When we make the repair I will post the process with pictures!F. Our Fontana oven is absolutely awesome. We’ve been making pizza for a few years but until we bought our Mangiafuoco we never had a real pizza oven. We do now. We’ve learned how to make poolish dough an we’re getting the hang of controlling the oven temperature too. Every time we use the oven we get a little better. We’ve also learned about recipes, chopping herbs and cutting the pizza with a mezzaluna from your website. This oven has been the perfect addition to our patio and cooking enjoyment. We love it! Thank you!

I purchased the Maestro 60 in December and have used this stove a least 5 times cooking pizza in about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. I live in Vermont and this oven works anytime of the year. The quality of the product is amazing and performance outstanding. I highly recommend this company to anyone that wants to have a real Italian pizza oven, that you will enjoy with family and friends and last a very long time. Anxiously awaiting warmer climate to really showcase my oven.

We just took delivery of the all new Fontana Maestro 60 and we love it! This thing is a beast, the craftsmanship is amazing on both the oven and on the Mini Pizza Desk. This is not a flimsy little pizza oven! Very solidly built and has impressively responsive cooking performance. We had several questions before ordering and were similarly pleased with their customer support from Pete Ludlow who answered our calls and questions promptly & candidly. Ordering, shipping, delivery & assembly were simple. We are not new to cooking pizzas outdoors and have been cooking on an “egg” type grill for many years. And my wife used to work at the world famous Frank Pepe Pizzeria in New Haven, CT. Our first pizzas on the Maestro would have even made Frank Pepe happy! We love the charred edges, flavor, simplicity, ambiance of the Maestro. Whenever we make pizza, we also have a bonfire in our back yard fire pit. Loads of fun & delicious!

My wife and I purchased the Mangiafuoco. This oven has surpassed our expectations in the craftsmanship and ease of use! We have used it almost twice a week since it was delivered.Maintaining the temp was very easy to achieve. 45 minutes to get the oven to 700/750. This oven holds it temp rock solid and is so well insulated. Everything Fontana claims their ovens can do its absolutely true. I could go on and on about this oven but my only complaint is...I should have purchased it sooner. Thank you to everyone. Pat and Tracy.

I bought a Mangiafuco wood fired oven about four months ago after having a ceramic oven for about the last 10 years. There are so many advantages of the Fontana: light enough if you take out the baking stones that four people can move it easily; gets up to cooking temperature in under an hour and is easy to maintain constant temperature afterward. Really efficient at burning wood. Spacious cooking surface is easy to cook on. The best pizza I've ever made is coming out of this oven. I've also cooked steaks over the open coals and they turned out great. The standard cooking stones work well but the Saputo stones are excellent - definitely worth the extra price. When you install them, leave the space along the back and right walls of the oven to allow the stones to expand when heated.
A couple of things to take note of: the built-in thermometer is not as reliable as the hand-held infrared gun, so use that to monitor the cooking surface. Also, to put the cover on the oven you have to remove the chimney, and that can be difficult some times due to different degrees of expansion and contraction of the metal. But those are minor details. This is a great product: easy to use and produces great food.
