I did not have a pleasant experience with this company and have chosen to take my business elsewhere. I contacted medicaid prior to going to this business to check if the items I needed were covered. I was informed that the items were fully covered and I did not need a prescription for the items. Just for buyers looking it was for a power wheelchair or scooter and a knee walker. I got my doctor to give me prescriptions for the items just in case they were requested by the store. On Tuesday, I went to the store to tell them what I needed. I Provided the prescriptions and a copy of the medicaid number. Told the gentleman I needed it the following week on Wednesday. He said no problem he just needed to research it.? Since, I hadn't received any communication I called Friday. The woman I spoke with had no idea who I was nor who I spoke with or anything about the equipment I requested. So, she took my information and started to do some research. She, called me back the same and told me they would have to send out for wheelchair and the knee walker was not covered, so they would have charge 100$ a month for it. Since, I already spoke with medicaid and told them the specifics of the items I was looking at and was told they were covered I told the woman exactly that. Now, I understand alot of people have medicaid, but also have an hmo along with that so then they get denied alot. Well this is straight medicaid. no hmo's to say no. Which I told her and she said she would check and get back to me. On Monday, I went to the business again to check for an update for equipment I need Wednesday. We'll the gentleman working front desk is different. So doesn't know who I talked to. He checks in back find out. The lady in the back gave him a sticky note from where I talked to her on Friday. Gentleman then says okay let's go find your paper work. We'll somehow its missing. So, I go and get the prescriptions and provide the medicaid number again. Then I get told, "I won't provide a wheelchair because the prescription says power scooter". Then, He tells me, "I don't sell knee walkers I only rent them for $100.00 a month". Seeing as it was clear I wasn't important enough or going to provide them enough money. I was basically told to go all the way to Charleston. SC. Your loss and I hope others read this before buying anything from you. Sad though because you basically have MUSC in your pocket. little ppl don't matter.THANKS FOR THE RUNAROUND!

I recently took my Mom here to get a walker. The gentleman that helped us was so nice and informative. He even gave us a great discount and carried it to our car for us. I would definitely recommend using A1 for all of your medical supply needs.

Awesome staff ...awesome crew. down-to-earth People ...you can tell they care.. I'm so thankful for this team. Mr. Joe and the others all the way down to the delivery drivers. I am not a customer. But reading the reviews, I noticed that the owner commented on the positive reviews, but not the negative ones. Because of that, I am choosing to go with a different company.

The staff has always been extremely helpful with my parents oxygen needs but went above and beyond recently. My mom’s concentrator stopped working, it was almost their closing time and my parents live way out in the country. I was stuck at work so they had a driver bring it by my job so I could take it to my mom that evening. Really phenomenal service!

My mother was discharged from Encompass rehab facility this morning. She recently broke her femur. The facility called A1 to get the equipment she would need for the house. There was a problem with some paperwork so she called Medicare to get the problem resolved and then called A1 to tell them she fixed the issue. The man on the phone was extremely rude to my mother(she was in tears), and basically told her usually Medicare will deny the first and possibly second submission for payment. If that happened he wasn’t going to waste his time and she would have to pay the bill. My mother has Medicare and a very good supplement plan. Needless to say we cancelled the order called Tuckers and got what we needed with no problems. My mom should have never been treated in such a way.

We had hospital equipment delivered today by a wonderful young man. The company is kind and will make accommodations when things arise. The equipment they delivered will help my dad immensely.

I randomly picked this company off the Internet. I needed a hospital bed. If I could give more stars I would! The staff was knowledgeable and the service was excellent! Highly recommended!!!

I work for an inpatient rehabilitation in Charlotte, NC and we had a last minute equipment emergency that could have potentially delayed discharge. A1 Medical was very helpful at the end of the day to make sure our patient received the equipment he needed for a safe discharge. Thank you!

Mr.Russ was very helpful this weekend!After searching everywhere over the weekend for a place to buy Isosource for tube feeding,I called A-1 and even though he was out of town he called on his way back into town just so he could open up and help out in selling me a case of it.Thank you so much Mr.Russ.
