Captain Jimmy helped turn fishing into something that I occasionally did with friends as a background activity to something that I cared about and engaged with. Getting to see the SC coastline and wrestle with our aquatic neighbors is a joy, and there is no better fit for leading that experience than Captain Jimmy. Highlight of my trip to Edisto every time.

Captain Jimmy was amazing. My son and I caught countless fish and multiple shark. We had an amazing time and learned a lot talking with him.

Excellent trip in March.Taught us everything about the fishery that we could think to ask. Very attentive to the wife and myself. Excellent service and company! Will book again if ever back in the area!

Excellent day out, Cap Jimmy was exceptional, Bill and I spent several hours catching fish and observing the wildlife, he even laughed at my terrible jokes. He was absolutely on point with bait /tackle, the boat was clean and comfortable, as well as well equipment with well maintained gear.Not only will I recommend to a friend, I already have.

A NOTE ON SPOTTAILS: We booked a 5 hour inshore trip with Captain Jimmy for my wife’s birthday and had a swell time. Captain Jimmy is knowledgeable, excellent with responding to phone calls and texts and has a clean boat. If you are bringing ladies with you, just understand that the head is a five gallon bucket, but you can have enough privacy to answer nature’s call. That’s just the nature of the outdoors.The Captain did have a good selection of rods and did a great job of putting us on Spottails (Also called redfish), HOWEVER, our biggest disappointment was that he requested we release all of our Spottails back into the water. I can certainly understand that no responsible angler wants to fish out a species, but we had plenty of Spottails squarely in the keeper range (even one or two that were too large) and bringing home enough for a meal would have been the perfect cap to an otherwise excellent time. We did bring home one small Whiting, but for those who like to put food on the table, it is disappointing to have to throw back a full limit of catch.So while I don’t want to bust up Fontaine Charters 5 star rating, I note it here so that others can know ahead of time what to expect and plan accordingly. Fish well and prosper!

Capt. Jimmy was great. We did a 5 hour trip in the morning in mid-October. Guide was very knowledgeable, easy going and an excellent coach for a couple of guys who hadn't done much inshore fishing. He gave us options as to what species to target and put us on some really nice fish. Would definitely book him again.

My daughters and I had a great time. Captain was great....very knowledgeable, friendly and we caught fish! He was able to go from near shore to backwater after one of the girls wasn't feeling well. Captain handled everything for us. We'd highly recommend and would use them again next time we're in the area.

Absolutely a wonderful experience with Captain Jimmy! Took no time and the fish were hitting fast an furious! 3 nice size sharks were reeled in as well! Would definitely book another trip!

We had a blast going fishing with Captain Jimmy. He provided excellent service and ensured we as a family had fun. Patently he explained the kids what to do and we were rewarded with some nice pan fish and even a shark.Thanks, Captain Jimmy!

We had a great time with Captain Jimmy, he knows the area well and showed us a great time. My son-in-law and 9-year-old grandson went along for the trip, I have been blessed to fish with a lot of different captains over the years but never found one that had the patience to teach a young person as Jimmy did. I would highly recommend this charter

Went out with CPT Jimmy after Christmas with my family. We all had a great time even in 40 degree weather. Jimmy is extremely professional, has a lot of knowledge about the area, and runs a great charter. 10 out of 10 I would recommend to anyone looking for a guide.

Outstanding charter service. Captain Jimmy is very knowledgeable about the local fishery and uses his expertise to put you on the fish. We let Captain Jimmy decide if we fished inshore, nearshore, or offshore based on the conditions and recent fishing activity and were not disappointed with our offshore experience. 10/10 would recommend.
