Credit card declined twice at pump. Owner acted like it was my problem. Was kind of stand offish regarding using the card inside.I went to enMarket and card worked fine. Not a good experience.

I always enjoy stopping in at the Edistonian Gift shop. It's tradition for us as we are leaving Edisto. The selection of home decor and candles, trinkets, jewelry are beautiful. We are always greeted warmly and treated respectfully.

The Edistonian General Store on Highway 174 on Edisto Beach is a cool general store that has a lot of basic items, snacks, and accessories for the beach and beyond. The store is well managed and organized and you are able to find exactly what you are looking for. The staff here is very friendly and willing to help you when you need it. This is a good stop to make when you need it.

It's a basic store, has some magazines, books and half the store is for beach accessories and items. There's the usual suspects at any convenience stores: candy bars, candy, beers, waters and other beverages. Chips and other snack items. They have a freezer for ice creams, because why not. I had never seen a Twix flavored chocolate milk with natural and artificial flavors. I had to get some Skittles abs some Reese's for after dinner too. It seems reasonably priced. It was $4 for the 3 items. The chocolate milk was about $2 and the Reese's and the Skittles were each $0.99. It is a laid back store. There are two registers in the center.

LOVE THIS SHOP!!!!!!Only problem is you have to live at Edisto to be able to enjoy it!! WISH THEY HAD A ONLINE SITE THINK OF ALL THE MONEY THEY ARE MISSING OUT ON!!!!!!

This place is on Edisto Island just before you cross the bridge to Edisto Beach. The Edistonian is a Gas Station / Variety Store / Gift Shop. It reminds me of all the stores in our small hamlet when I was a kid. You never know what you might find here!
