I ignored the reviews and I tried.. was told between 2:30-3pm. I arrived at 2:32pm and she took someone else to do highlights. She did ask the lady if she could do mine first, and the customer said no. Was then told to be leave and be back at 3 and she'd fit me in... I got back at 2:57 and waited until 3:25 before I left and gave up as the lady in front of me then requested she get more highlights in so I wasn't going to be seen for another 45 minutes. She seemed nice, but an hour is my max for waiting.

I went to a pre-wedding styling with a very good friend and her bridesmaids. To sum it up, it was an absolute disaster!Jennifer has no decorum whatsoever, let alone a service attitude. She either ignored serious, politely worded questions about makeup techniques or answered them in an incredibly arrogant and stroppy, even almost insulting manner. Had we not been there together as a group wondering about her horrible manner, she would have completely ruined my friend's wedding day.To make matters worse, she also "conjured" mediocre makeup with cheap products from the drugstore and the hairstyles were an absolute disaster. She pulled the hair of all of us (4 people) without exception and almost hurt them. Even on hints that she should not work so brutally, she did not react at all. Everything she did, you could have done yourself at home. After this experience, I doubt that Jennifer ever learned her "craft".The outrageous price of $ 700 for 3.5 hours has topped it all.I can absolutely advise against this store! Disaster!!!

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by Jennifer, the hair stylist, on my wedding day. Her unprofessionalism and lack of consideration made what should have been a joyous occasion into a frustrating and unpleasant experience.From the moment we arrived, Jennifer greeted us with a hostile comment about our supposed lateness, even though we were actually on time. Her condescending attitude was off-putting and immediately set a negative tone for the day.Jennifer's disregard for our preferences was evident throughout the entire process. Instead of styling our hair according to our desired looks, she imposed her own opinions, completely disregarding our tastes. This lack of respect for our vision was disheartening, especially on such an important day.Furthermore, Jennifer used cheap products from drugstore brands like Naked and Maybelline, which resulted in all of us experiencing an acne outbreak after the wedding. It was clear that she prioritized cost over the well-being and satisfaction of her clients.Adding insult to injury, she insisted on adding flowers to our hair, despite our explicit disapproval. These flowers did not fit the overall floral scheme of the wedding, and when we expressed our concerns, she patronizingly asked if we had never cut flowers before. It was a completely unnecessary and frustrating exchange.To top it all off, Jennifer charged us a whopping $700 without providing an itemized receipt. Given the subpar quality of her skills and the overall disappointment of the experience, this felt like an absolute scam. We expected transparency and professionalism when it came to the billing process, but we were met with nothing but disappointment.It is clear that Jennifer takes advantage of her monopoly on the island. We reluctantly chose her services to avoid the inconvenience of traveling to Charleston on our wedding day. In retrospect, we deeply regret not making the extra effort to find an alternative hairstylist. The additional travel time would have been a small price to pay compared to the frustration and dissatisfaction we experienced with Jennifer.I would strongly advise future brides to reconsider booking Jennifer for their special day. Her unprofessionalism, lack of respect for client preferences, use of low-quality products, and questionable billing practices make her services highly unsatisfactory. Save yourself the headache and seek out a more competent and accommodating hairstylist elsewhere.

If I could give this place no stars, I would. This was the worst haircut my husband & son had even got. Also the most expensive. It's not like they get anything special. It's a 2 gard on the side & faded into the top. She damn near buzzed their head. My son does have a buzz. My husband even had to firmly tell her 2x to stop cutting on top just so he wouldn't have a buzz cut. Oh & cherry on top, we are getting professional pictures done tomorrow. She "trimed my husband's eyebrows. His right one is barely there now. She was extremely rough with them as well. My husband side a few times he thought she was going to cut him or jam the scissors into his head. She was extremely rude as well. I thought we lucked out bc she said that she would fit us in. However, now I wish she would have just said no. Go at your own risk. I would NEVER recommend this, please, even on my enemies. I'm normally have the it will grow back mentality. However, she butched their hair & I'm paying a lot of money for pictures.

In recent months I have had very little time for self-care. We visit Edisto each summer for our family vacation and I decided that I would try to get a much needed trim while I had the time. I called Jennifer to see if I could get an appointment and she graciously fit me in, despite an already full schedule. She was kind, professional and knew better than I did what my hair needed. A visit to her salon may become a new part of our yearly visit to the island.Service: Haircut
