    Always a great visit to Edisto beach state park. Never a bad day even if it is bad weather. The sound of the surf makes it nice just to sit in your camper and relax. Time seems to slow down here and what a treasure this park is for South Carolina.

    Access to the beach while camping was very convenient. Very quiet location.At night time the campsites are overrun by Raccoons. These raccoons are not afraid and will come up to your campfire. Even when you yell at them and shake a stick at their face, they're not afraid and stand their ground.

    Views depend on the campsite, but great spots within a few miles to see beach sunsets, go shelling, boating, short trails, local museums. Edisto Environmental Learning Center is 5 stars. Museum of history of wildlife in in the ACE basin. Great staff, many excellent exhibits and mini live habitats.
