Booked twice with them already, everything from booking to checkin/checkout is very smooth. Staff always ver friendly. The accommodations are always nice but they are a bit pricey.

Very frustrating that I can't get a person on the actual island, on the phone, anymore! I need help with the name of a house, 2BR, on beach...on 100 block....some foreign guy who seemed surprised SC had so many beaches...

We rented an Edisto Beach vacation home. The whole process from booking, communication, key pick up to drop off was smooth and hassle free. The house was clean and comfortable. We'd stay there again. Loved it!

Worst experience & never again with Atwood. This company had our booking since December 3rd 2020 but waited to call until April 30th 2021 to tell us there was a “glitch” in their system and the property was double booked. Ok I get that things happen, computers & humans are not perfect. The problem I have is this, we had to cancel our original booking placed in June 2020 due to unforeseen circumstances. They called us with property availability dates to rebook. We chose dates they provided.When they contacted us, they left a message saying “we are sorry this property was double booked, we refunded your money. Unfortunately there is nothing left for that week on the island” they would not even return our phone calls. So what seemed like a kind and understanding business, turned out to be the exact opposite.Rude, hateful and heartless. Avoid this company, they need to get their act together. We should have listened to the warnings from friends who now use Edisto Realty.

Pappy's Pad at Wyndham is a beautiful & spacious house. I love the 3 bedrooms with bathrooms in them so no need to share. Love, love, love the elevator to bring your heavy luggage and coolers up so you don’t have to climb stairs. Definitely handicap accessible for those who can’t climb stairs, also. The area around it is peaceful, & the nature (stream, fish, trees, moss, deer, blue herons, etc) is breathtaking & a great place to get away & relax. Plus, it’s only a few minutes from the beach. I highly recommend!

This was our first visit to Edisto and while the location of our vacation was a delight, the accommodations were less than impressive. Having not previously rented a home beach front we were excited and willing to splurge for a treat beach front. However, upon arrival were disappointed. I spent our first evening cleaning the kitchen. There were numerous items damaged in the home and it simply was not as we were expecting. Upon reaching out to Atwood, we were informed the home was for sale and under contract therefore the owner had said they would not be doing any additional work, stating that they knew of some of the issues I had photographed. I am quite disappointed by Atwood. As a rental company, I believe knowing this information, they should have reached out to us as renters prior to our arrival to let us know the home was under contract and not in the condition one would expect. As the week went on other issues came up but having been flippantly told, "the owner won't be doing anything else, sorry" there was no point in calling. Though I did send an email later in the week and received no reply. A better model for business would have called us and told us so that we had the opportunity to change accommodations if we wanted. A great model of business would have had an alternative in mind to recommend for us. Very disappointed in the service we received from Atwood, and that they allow an owner to no longer keep up with a home once for sale but will continue to rent.

The house was amazing with just a couple of issues needing to be fixed. The air conditioning unit sweated causing 2 leaks but it was being taken care of. Most of the chairs and rockers were broken and in desperate need of repair. Overall it was a perfect size for our family and a perfect location. We would definitely go back.

the home we stayed in this year was ocean view and it had a perfect view. I spent most of my time on the front screened in porch watching the waves. We had to cross the main street to get to the ocean but her was little traffic here in early May. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The house was my image of a beach house. We plan to reserve this home next year.
