I started working out in the zumba classes and found my go to! I love it! It feels like family here everytime you walk through the doors and you find friends that become lifelong family while getting a workout.

We joined the Easley YMCA almost 10 years ago when we moved to the area. The Y has been a community for us, both for fitness and socially. The staff as well as other patrons have become friends. We love the fitness classes, but most of all, the values they uphold and the programs they offer that strengthens our community. I have been a mentor through the Y for several years and know first hand the importance and benefits of this program. Looking forward to the new facility and the continued value the Y brings to our community.

There are many gyms in the Easley SC area but I like going to the Easley YMCA because of the friendly Staff and the other members. It is more like a large family instead of just a place to work out and the staff is always friendly and there to help you went you need them. I also enjoy talking with the other members and having coffee with my gym friends in the mornings while talking about current events. If you are looking for a friendly place to work out and to meet new friends the Easley YMCA is the place to be.

I can’t say enough of great things about the Easley YMCA! The staff is friendly and helpful. I usually go to classes in the morning and the instructors (Laura, Ginny, Bekah, Amy) are so welcoming and really give you a great workout. It’s truly a great atmosphere!

Joined recently to regain strength postpartum. Facility is clean, staff is super friendly, and the childcare is wonderful. I feel very comfortable here and already am reaching some early goals! Excited for the new campus addition coming soon!

I love my YMCA here in town. Tha staff is so friendly. My Pilates class twice a week has been exactly what I needed. I'm always able to get on the equipment I need. Cleaning supplies are available, refill my water bottle station, and a blood pressure machine. They are preparing to expand so there are about to be all new fresh facilities.

I don't know about the new YMCA coming up. But this one right there is a complete joke. There is nothing going on in there and it is very dirty with a horrible moisture smell. plus, there isn't much to do there and no aquatics area. Ugh!

In all honesty, this ymca is wonderful! Specially the childcare department, the staff are awesome and truly care for my child. I send my child here for afterschool and she said she loved it! Including the childcare director there Jennifer! My child said that you could truly see that Jennifer cares for the campers and her staff! I will always send my child back here for camp!

I am a child advocate with a court appointment to represent the needs of children that are in these programs. I found the childcare director for the Easley YMCA unresponsive. She would not return my calls and seemed uninterested in the the welfare of the children I represent. I would not recommend this facility.

A few weeks ago, I was at the Powdersville pool. A woman, in a dress who I assumed was an employee at the YMCA, was screaming and yelling at employees and little children. She yelled at the children that they could not change out of their soaking wet swim suits (it was in the 60s this morning) those poor children were shivering and almost in tears. She was also yelling and belittling her employees. The employees looked as scared as the children. As a previous manager I never treated my employees the way that she was treating hers. Seeing as I only witnessed a glimpse of this I cannot imagine what these employees and children endure on a day to day basis. I was appalled by this behavior so I proceeded to ask a young man in a blue YMCA shirt if that woman worked for the Powdersville summer camp. He informed me that this lady’s name was Jennifer and she was the Childcare Director for the Easley YMCA summer camp. As a mom I would be furious to know that my child is under her care. I find it important for you to know that she also does not have any respect for the YMCA equipment as I witnessed her throwing life jackets across the pool deck onto the ground. I am not expecting a verbal response because I know the leadership will take action and handle this appropriately.

Good place. The childcare option was good but seemed a bit crowded. Perhaps they could have one more room (and more staff) for that during peak hours. Also, the volume in some of the group fitness classes is very high. It feels like that could be damaging to hearing over the long run. Perhaps an upper threshold must be set for the volume allowed. Other than that, great place, friendly staff and a good facility.

You guys really think your helping the community. Huh? Reading you email about your hiring. Saying you help the community and people in profound ways. Hahaha. This place isnt doing anything but helping itself. Making hand over fist money, on the backs of poor people that live check to check. Meanwhile Management has 80k cars, and 350k houses. Ugly ugly business the Y is actually.

My son’s insurance office reached out to us about swimming voucher programs for the kids weeks ago. Normally we pay for swimming lessons and the expensive summer program. I called aquatics director Adrianne weeks ago. Never called me back until today. The insurance lady said your son could attend the YMCA swimming lessons free. I mean who will turn down free swimming lessons. Me and my family were members up until April. Adrianne the aquatics director knowing I had been calling ignored my call for several weeks about the program. So it didn’t surprise me when she finally calls me today and says “oh yeah we have the program but we choose not to accept the vouchers” I been a member of the YMCA for years and it’s pretty sad when a company is offering a free program for other kids that can’t afford the swimming lessons I was disappointed in her nonchalant tone and I’m glad my mother pulled the membership from the YMCA. The YMCA should allow children to attend who can’t afford it. Learning to swim could benefit them in life.

Been going to the Y for 20 plus years. Really enjoy the equipment and the staff are always really nice and friendly. The recent increase in membership is disappointing. And it seems like every time I turn around the gym is closed for whatever reason.
