“This is not one of your major liquor outlets but it is close to downtown and the prices are reasonable. It would be unfair to compare it to a behemoth store such as Micky Finn's or a Green's. This is a tiny store next to a gas station and it is not much bigger than the area behind the typical counter of a convenience store. The selection is very decent and the pricing is competitive. What really makes this place stand out is the service. Every staff member who has helped me here has been just incredibly cordial. They are willing to answer every question, check stock on something that you are unable to find and they give you the impression that they truly appreciate your patronage. On a personal note, I will admit that they have saved an evening or two for me when guests are headed to the house and I am out of whatever they may be drinking. A quick dash down to this place has turned many a family gathering from potential disaster into an evening where everyone left without being asked to and in a jolly mood. It pays to support the small businesses in the area whenever possible.”

“Alright ladies and gentlemen, this is the adult beverage place you want to go to. They have everything you want to suit your needs. Plus, they are the only place around that sells the rum I like. The prices are the best around, don’t bother going anywhere else. ??”

“Very helpful service here at this store. I was looking for high proof alcohol for my vanilla bean extraction. Finally found a 350 ml New Amsterdam Vodka. This are a bit different in SC with respect to finding liquors than in PA.”

“Small local liquor store on Irby Street in Florence. Got a lot of locals going in there buying pints. Prices are reasonable almost comprable to Mickey Finn's liquor store. I stopped your because of the convenience of being able to park right in front of the store. And the other thing too is Irby later in the afternoon early evening is not necessarily is busy is trying to get in and out of Mickey Finn's on Pamplico Highway. Is always a lodge in there. Picked up my favorite Wild Turkey. Got home that evening and poured some wild turkey I sat back and let up a padron cigar and just enjoyed watching the movie on Turner Classic Movies. Haven't decided yet if the cigar smokes better with the wild turkey or if the wild turkey is smoother with the cigar.”

“For my bourbon hunting friends, add this stop on your drive down 95. Solid selection of bourbon on the shelf. You're not likely to find your unicorn bottles here but they've got a solid shelf full and some things that are harder to find back in NC”

“The Florence HT is small compared to the other HT & Kroger's in the state. Yes, their prices are slightly higher than Food Lion, the PIG, IGA or even the discount grocery chains, but it is the quality of brands they carry that brings the consumer back. They are one of the few grocery stores with 6 self-checkout stations, so you do not have to wait on a line when you only have a quart of milk. Every employee is friendly and engaging. To find a full-service butcher or at least one that knows how to cut up a tenderloin for you is a golden fine today. Other grocery stores have employees in the meat department, but they will not cut anything or grind anything when asked. Fresh Sushi prepared in front of you - 7 days a week. The Deli has the best brand out cold cut meats and cheeses. The baked and rotisserie chickens do not last long. They prepare them several times a day. The sandwich shoppe serves hero's cold and toasted and are so affordable. Did I mention the hero's are made with Bores head meat & cheese products. The only thing that would make this location ideal is if they expanded into the old Tuesday morning space and expanded the Deli, sandwich shop & bakery. They could serve hot quick meals and make a killing at lunch time and for families on the go. Maybe even bring in a quality baker for fresh baked breads & rolls. Think about it HT, otherwise you will be left behind when the #2 national supermarket breaks ground and opens a super store. it will come before you know it.”
