I’m from New York and this is by far the best auto repair I’ve seen since I’ve been down here! My son’s engine light was on and we couldn’t figure out what was going on as the other auto shops were saying that nothing was wrong, but we knew something was wrong. Lou helped us to get that fixed in under 3 hours! Which was amazing since the other auto repair shops couldn’t figure it out in days. The atmosphere of the shop is super friendly and relatively cheap for the services offered. Will definitely return for any future car problems!

Am the only driver in my household. I rely on Louis to look after my car to keep me and my husband safe. Rivertown Auto is so responsive to me needs. Always a straight answer….”You need this”…to “No you don’t need that, you’re good.”
Riley was efficient and knowledgeable when he installed my new tires.

I recently took my car to Rivertown Auto Repair for a routine oil change, and it turned into an ordeal that exposed their incompetence and disregard for customer service and vehicle care, and serves as a stark reminder of how a lack of knowledge, professionalism and accountability can not only damage a vehicle but also erode trust in a business.
Firstly, the service took an inexplicably long time—over four hours—without any communication from the staff. This lack of courtesy was just the beginning. Upon leaving the shop, I immediately noticed my car making a loud 'whirring' sound (Which I called them about while I was driving home), followed by a low oil warning the following week.
Upon taking it to a different, authorized service center for my car, I was shocked to discover that the oil pan plug had been overtightened, stripping the oil pan threads and breaking the plug seal, leading to all of the oil leaking out of the car, and requiring a new oil pan. Additionally, multiple sensors were left disconnected after the service, impacting the vehicle's performance (and producing the noise mentioned earlier).
When I attempted to discuss these startling issues (including the resulting required repair) directly with the owner of Rivertown Auto Repair and give him a chance to offer a solution, I was met with an astonishing level of indifference and unprofessionalism, to the point that he insisted that the other repair facility call him directly to discuss the problem (which of course the other shop refused to do) instead of listening to me and would not even let me finish a sentence during the conversation. His obstinance and unwillingness to engage in a constructive discussion or acknowledge the severity of his company’s negligence was extremely frustrating. This behavior not only highlights a failure in service but a deeper issue that exists within the business's values and principles.
I am sharing this experience to underscore the dire potential consequences of choosing Rivertown Auto for vehicle servicing. It is a cautionary tale that cost me well over $1,000 in repairs, not to mention the stress and inconvenience of not having a vehicle for several days.
I hope this review serves as a warning to others to do your due diligence when seeking professional, accountable service providers who value their customers and the integrity of their work. Sadly, Rivertown Auto Repair lacks all of these important attributes.
To Rivertown Auto, I hope this review serves as a catalyst for much-needed introspection and change.
To potential customers, consider this a stark warning. Your vehicle and your patronage deserve respect and professionalism—something I found to be non-existent at Rivertown Auto Repair.

We are from Pennsylvania and my daughter is there for college and she was having car trouble ! The code that came up was transmission control module. We thought I know tons of $ ! We called few shops . Seen the reviews of this one and decided to take the car here ! Was very impressed with the open comments and was happy they traced to only a bad wire and a fuse ! 5 stars for us ! Thanks so much for helping us out !

I would give 10 stars if I could! I had previously taken my sons car somewhere else to be looked at and was told I needed a new axle and transmission. I had it towed to Lou for a second opinion and it turned out it did not need a new transmission! You won't find a more honest mechanic anywhere else!!(If we had needed a transmission, we were also quoted over $1,000 less for the work than the original garage)

I had a Groupon for an oil change there and decided to let them change my front brakes also. They found an issue with my right front brake caliper so I needed to get it replaced. I was shown the issue and sure enough the caliper was seized. I was charged fairly I feel and the work was done in a reasonable amount of time. They were very friendly and I will definitely go back there again.
