It’s a real shame the money that I have spent over years at this veterinary with my 3 dogs. The lady that is running this place for her brother doesn’t have a care for animals and completely acts like you are a bother to her.
She is not a vet or a vet tech and should not be administering vaccines to the pets. I have taken my pets from here and found another great place in Conway

I was looking at switching my 3 dogs there because that's where my vet had moved to, loved her. I called to get an estimate, told her what she was due for she couldn't give me an estimate and would call me right back. I called the next afternoon, the same thing, she can't give me an estimate the manager has to do it and she'll call me back of course no one ever called and that's been 2 weeks now. When I was asking about an email or fax number to get their records switched she did not want to give it to me, finally said my vet would have it. I switched them to Waccamaw Vet, very happy with them. They had no problem giving me estimates so I can be prepared and talking to me on the phone, very friendly there.

I honestly can't understand the situation and hoops I had to jump through to get my dog's medication, not once - but twice. My dog was diagnosed with a generalized allergy, can't quite figure out what it is after having tried restrictive diets and other methods of determining the possible trigger. We took him to this vet last year, and they prescribed him Apoquel. It worked wonders for our dog, so at least they got that part absolutely nailed! The first monthly prescription was dispensed from them directly. I had asked about being able to get it filled through Chewy, as we get a good deal of other dog and cat care items through them and they'll autoship the prescriptions right to our house. I was told it wasn't a problem. I started to fill out the prescribing information on Chewy and submitted everything. Chewy then sends me an email that the vet won't electronically authorize the prescription, so I have to pick up a paper copy from the vets office and mail it in. No problem, I call them and request a paper copy of the prescription to send in, as Chewy states the vet's office won't electronically authorize it. They call me later that afternoon and tell me it's ready. I go up there, and they filled the prescription itself and never wrote out the paper copy. They told me I had to come back to pick the paper up later, because the vet needs to write it out and he's with a patient, and that I had to pay for the prescription they just filled (close to 150 bucks!) - and they were rather pushy about it. I do so, and wait for them to call me that the paper is ready. Days go by and I hear nothing. I follow up and they tell me it's done and ready to be picked up. I go up there, pick it up and have to pay a $5 fee - for a paper prescription written out for only 4 refills. No big deal, I know sometimes vets charge for paper scripts. Fast forward to now, Chewy filled the last refill about a week ago. When sending me shipping confirmation, they also sent a reminder that his refills were out and I needed to get another script from the vet. I call in to the office last Friday, explain to them that we need another paper script to send to Chewy. I specifically remind them multiple times that I don't need them to refill the pills, as Chewy just filled it, and that I just need the paper script. They call and let us know it's ready, and my husband decides to go pick it up while he's working on the road today. Same exact disaster as last time, they filled the pills and wanted him to pay for the pills and didn't have a paper script written out. I call up to the office, explain what has just happened and they ultimately tell me to send my husband back and that they have the paper ready and he can get a refund for the pills. He goes back, picks up the script, pays the $5 and heads home. The script is for one refill. So, am I to assume that I have to go through this mess every single month??? Tell them I need the paper, they fill the actual script and want me to pay $150something, remind them I just wanted the paper, pay them $5 for the paper, mail it to Chewy to process, get his refill filled, then do it all over again for the following month?? This is ridiculous. No other vet has ever made getting our dogs medications so difficult to get! I understand they want to make their money and all, but at some point they should actually care for the wellbeing and the best interest of the pet! Miscommunications happen, I understand... But when it happens more than once, I truly don't believe it's an accident.

10/10 would NOT recommend. They are very rude and judgmental. You could be the best animal mom/ dad and they make you feel like you’re the worst! And act like it’s a crime to vaccinate your animal yourself! Do Better Advanced Vet Care.. Do BETTER!

We feel very comfortable with all the staff at Advance. They truly care about our dog, Fritz, and we trust them to take care of his needs. The practice still has a small-town feel about it with their personal attention to us and Fritz. We recommend them without hesitation.

I have not arrived yet, and I had to cancel the appointment and make a new appointment . The reception, though, was very patient, personal, and welcoming. I look forward to my visit.
