I just got my transmission fixed here in my 2013 ford edge … my car drives better than when I first got it..? my warranty company is not a well known warranty company & they worked with my company.. also I noticed they were wayyy cheaper than other places I called.. Ford wanted to charge me over 7k .. another place 6k .. the total was 1500 at AAMCO .. THATS AMAZING.. oh & the staff is soooo friendly .. From the laywomen at the desk to the mechanics.. They really made this process bearable ?I hope I don’t ever need them again (bc who wants to need transmission work done) but I would DEFINITELY recommend them .. o

If I could put 0 stars I would . Just want this story out there so it doesn’t happen to you or a loved oneMy mom brought her 2010 Chevy suburban that had a slight slip in her transmission . She wanted it replaced . They quoted her 3k something . So she agreed to do it . Then they gave her another price (thankfully before they started) to over 4k . So she decided to not do it. They then wanted to charge her a diagnostic fee , which she chose to not get when the lady asked . She said I just want to replace transmission . No diagnostic. Then they said well you owe for WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID AND ENGINE OIL ! . My mom said nothing about wanting that service done, why is a transmission place putting that kind of stuff in anyway … and the real issue is now her transmission doesn’t work at all ! . And her key fob doesn’t have the motherboard in it … like someoene literally took the fob apart took the green motherboard piece out and it won’t work for her truck now .. I will never even think about going here. Please be cautious . Very upset right now

Surprise fees! talked to more than one person on different days and not one persons said anything about a fee till I went to pick up my car all because I was not having the car fixed there! Nothing was even said when the car was left there to get checked out. worst place ever.

The receptionist was very helpful and polite and Mr. Stephen was very knowledgeable. I drove from Dillon SC to take my car there because of his knowledge over the phone. ??❤️

Regina has great customer service skills. She always listened to my concerns about my vehicle and took good accurate notes. She always had a good attitude and you can tell she likes her job. Regina is an asset to this company and deserves a promotion.

This crew is absolutely AMAZING! A tear ago my daughters Jeep Compass transmission overheating light kept coming on and NO ONE (includingbthe dealership) could figure it out. Mr. Steve and his crew worked on it for 3 months but the issue persisted. He contacted AAMCO'S head mechanic in Michigan, I believe, and found the answer! I was NOT overcharged, and I continue to have all my vehicles serviced there!

Never, ever, EVER take your car to AAMCO in Conway. Our car had a small transmission leak. Our warranty company sent us to one of their "preferred vendors" (Aamco) to handle the repair. We dropped it off on October 16th. After it was there for about a week, we were told the problem was not the transmission, but that the catalytic converter and exhaust system needed to be replaced to the tune of $3,000. We didn't agree with the diagnosis. So, we went to pick up the car to take it to a different shop. We got there, paid them the $100 diagnostic fee and they handed us the key. When we went to drive it off the lot, it sounded extremely loud, and there were pipes hanging off the back. My husband went back in the office to ask for an explanation. The guy then told him that someone had come on the lot and vandalized several cars and taken the catalytic converters off of of them. They didn't once call us to report that our vehicle had been vandalized. Therefore, we gave back the key and refused to take our car off the lot until they repaired it. We contacted their corporate office and were told they would restore the car back to the condition it was in when we originally dropped it off. More time passed, and we were told our catalytic converter wasn't stolen, it was just the resonator (even though the police report that they filed said the catalytic converter was taken). They said they'd restore the resonator, but that the catalytic converter was still the original mechanical issue that needed to be repaired/replaced and would cost $2,300. Then, we get a phone call today saying that our car was stolen...THE WHOLE CAR...STOLEN!!! Also, they had the nerve to tell the police they never had the key to our car. How did they diagnose all of that with no key?! In addition to that lie, they told my husband they filed the police report yesterday. The officer told him that they didn't call it in until this afternoon. Something seriously shady is going on there!!!! Stay far, far away. What a mess!! We are currently out of a car, and have been dealing with this nonsense for over a month now!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance
