Worst customer service experience ever. I have been with Tabots for 27 years, and this store is certainly at the bottom of the list.

Poorest customer service I've ever had anywhere. I was only customer in store and 2 associates (a male and a female) stood around talking to each other. No one offered to start a dressing room or help in any way. Only attention I received was being chastised for hanging unnwanted items on wrong rack in dressing room. When leaving I handed an associate unwanted folded items because I didn't know where to put them. Patricia, at the register, was polite. Anyone notice how old the positive comments are?

Great shopping experience with helpful staff recently. Thanks! (Google Maps is wrong about the Sunday hours, though - they close at 5 PM on Sundays, not at 6 PM.)

Pricey but worth every penny: well-made, classic clothes. I wanted a second pair of their summer weight athletic slacks because it's hot here most of the year. But it was winter, so the sales associate dug in the back until he found them!

The Male manager at this store needs a seminar on customer service and having a great attitude towards customers. He always has a rude look on his face. He doesn't even greet people.

The other day I went into this fine establishment looking for new clothes and was not greeted upon my arrival. As I was looking around an associate nearby was distant and not friendly, she acted as though she was on something. When I checked out I smelled a faint scent of a skunk. I don’t know who they have working in this store anymore but they most certainly need to drug test them.

Please update your hours. Twice in the last few weeks I drove the 30 minutes to find out talbots was closed. Certainly understand the need to adjust during these crazy times. Just asking to update online. Thank you

We went there on a Monday evening with my daughter in law and granddaughter and the manager was very terse. She was mean and rude to me, a 70 year old, and nice and sweet my daughter in law who is 40. I don’t know what I did to deserve unfair and poor treatment.

I used to enjoy shopping at Talbots/Murraywood, it’s located closer to where I live than (unfortunately) Forest Drive. One day last year, I tried to shop there when I came across a piece of clothing I liked but had to ask one of the staff members to please steam it due to some heavy wrinkles. I was told it would take some 30 minutes including steaming the garment. So I kept browsing adding a few more items I wanted to purchase. About 30 minutes later I asked about the progress of the wrinkled garment and was told that the store manager must have forgotten to turn the steamer on. The store manager was pointed out to me as the lady in sweats talking on the phone. I recalled seeing her coming in the store just prior of me asking for a garment to be steamed and her standing being on the phone toward the middle of the back (petite section) of the store pretty much during all the waiting I did. I asked the young lady at the register that I was no longer interested purchasing the wrinkled garment and was ready to check out. That’s when the Store manager came to check me out. I asked her just out of curiosity why she didn’t assist me by turning the steamer on. She outright told me that she just came back to the store less than a minute ago and was totally unaware of my need. That was a total lie! I requested she nullify my purchase of a total of $260.00 immediately and that is when she became unhinged. She started to become very confrontational and ordered me out of her store. She got in my face pointing her index finger at me and told me to leave immediately or she will call the police. I asked her for her name and the names of two other employees and was told she would not give her name and ordered the other two employees to go to the back of store. And, she called the police on me. The two young employees did not go to the back of the store and instead stayed with me and apologized for their manager’s way out of line behavior. While the manager tried her best to shame me in front of other customers one of the young employees wrote down her name and that of the manager’s name (Carmen) and gave it to me. The police officer crudely escorted me out of the store and interrogated me like I had just committed a horrible crime. He ordered me to stay by the police car as he returned back to the store for about 15 minutes. When he returned to me he seemed to have a change of attitude toward me and apologized for the confusion and told me I could return to that store anytime I wished. From there I went to Talbots on Forest Drive and had a chat with the store manager there. She gave me the full name of Carmen and some other information (District Manager’s phone number) and among that Carmen’s husband is a Irmo Police Officer. The District manager got in contact with me and in the end she shipped me a belt and a $100 gift card along with a huge apology.About six months after, I ran into a employee of Talbots and I told her what happened at Talbots Murraywood store and once I told her about the $100 gift card, the name of the district manager, and the gifted belt, her reply was: “Carmen is guilty!”Sincerely,Dora Miller
