On vacation though the east coast and trying different types of foods...I felt like I needed something to help with my upset stomach. I stopped at a local market looking to support small businesses and talk about over pricing. I asked for a PICOT and the cashier asked me how many (I'm thinking great since I'm traveling and don't need a whole box. Walmart has a box of 12 pkts for $1.98 -$2.38 plus tax. These folks sold me 2 individual packets for a whooping $4.10. Normally I'd say, it's a business and they need to make money like any other. However, I am super upset that they cater to our Spanish speaking community. I could have very easily 0

I wish I can give them negative score. I called to find out if had a produce in stock and the answer was “I don’t know”. I asked to check and they put me on hold for 5-10 minutes and hung up. Their service attitude suck. I wouldn’t get anything from here if I can help it.

Prices are too high, a sign of greed. Cashiers have no idea of what customer service is. Stood in line and watched them talk as though they didn't see that I was next in line. Won't be going back there.

Staff Could be more friendly. It is a shame that this is one of the bigger Hispanic stores in the area. Columbia needs more choices.

A Caribbean store, favourable for finding products familiar with the Caribbeans. They need to label their products with a price tag to help people know what to shop for.

Purchased chicharon and a tub of guacamole $17.00!! Then the guacamole had 2 huge seeds I request another he takes a tub walks in the back and brings it while he stirring it with a spoon. Good knows where it came from. I give him a fresh tub.. He picks the spoon up off the bloody meat board and puts it in the new tub.. it’s refund time at this point and then they tried to keep 3 dollars. If you don’t give me ALL MY DAMN MONEY.. I was charged a different price than others as I was the only black person purchasing the chicharon.. BAD BUSINESS

Stopped in for two avocados and a lime. Imagine my surprise when the cashier said that’ll be $9.16.$3.99 for one avocado is ridiculous.

I came here looking to find a nice tortilla selection, especially since they advertise that they have a tortilleria. I had high hopes. This store is extremely overpriced. The produce all looked terrible. The tortilleria consisted of a dirty machine with debris all over it that nobody was working in and zero fresh tortillas. The meat was visibly tainted. Prices were not marked but my husband purchased one bundle of cilantro for $2.15!!!! I can't believe he actually paid that. This is the closest mercado to my house and i will never come back here.

So there is 2 in the Columbia area, this one is superior to its sister store and other Hispanic stores in the area. This place is the real deal. Everything you can think of grocery wise is here!! Fresh produce, meat market, quality brand imported product. They even have a small eatery corner! And the food was fantastic!! This place was very clean, even the meat/seafood section was clean and very well organized. This is now my go to place here in Columbia for my Hispanic nostalgia. Highly recommended!!

Super clean, no doubt that. Carnitas not so good. Barbacoa is ok. But everything else is super expensive. Check the dates on whatever you buy.
