My specialists: Dr Clementson and RN/Tech Charles provided through and caring treatment. They were both great! They took wonderful care of my dog. Dr Clementson explained the diagnosis and options for treatment. Charles went over the medicines with me and made sure I felt comfortable administering them (how/quantity/when). I was very pleased with the care.

We have always been shown nothing but kind, compassionate care for our dog. The staff is amazing and we can’t thank them enough for the extra time they’ve been able to give us with our girl ❤️

The care at SC Veterinary Specialists is first class. Hope you never need urgent care but when you do, this is the place to go.

Worst experience ever. Our dog got into the trash and ate something she wasn’t supposed to (we didn’t know what). They kept her for 24 hours, NEVER contacted us until I drove up there after not being able to get in touch with them. They told me her issues were high priority and a very serious emergency. They said she needed X-rays, a CT scan and possible surgery immediately. NONE OF THAT HAPPENED. They took X-rays, said they weren’t normal and then never called me back. She sat in a crate for HOURS until I showed up and demanded her out of the crate. They lack knowledge and skill, bedside manner, and have 1 vet for 50 animals. HORRIFIC place. Don’t ever bring your animals here unless you want them to sit and rot in a crate with no supervision, I heard my dog barking which means she was alone with a damaged trachea. I have never been more disturbed. Jessica Withycombe took nearly 10 hours to tell me that they could not perform any of the treatments necessary (CT, endoscopy or surgery if needed). They could’ve told me this at 8:00 AM that day, but instead after I demanded a vet come speak to me, they finally told me at 4 PM none of this was available and I needed to go to CVETS. I will never trust her with my pet again.

Wife just took our dog there tonight with an allergy flare. Out vet is closed tand they wanted to run all kinds of tests and refer him to Dermatology. My wife has had many Shih Tzus and knows what is going on and just needed some releave for the next day when the vet will open Dr Sahara Gonzalez was nice until my wife told her she did not want $600 in tests and come back to see her ebven though she knows nothing about our dog. She became very rude when my wife told her no tests and referral. This Vet is all about money, money, money. As a physician myself, it saddens me that they care more about money than the animals and their parents.

I took my pet to SCVS for fluids since he was not eating or drinking and was expecting they would do an evaluation that would lead to a diagnosis as to why he would not eat or drink. They did an exam which I did not request that led to his anal glands bleeding and bursting the following day. It ended up costing me, not only for the botched exam, which was ridiculous, but for an additional vet fee for my regular vet to diagnose the problem. I would not recommend this emergency vet care to anyone. It is not worth the one star I gave them.

These are the most competent, compassionate, communicative and professional people on the planet. I thoroughly recommend them. In an emergency situation there is no better place for a pet to be.

Very thankful for them being open. For my dog did need assistance that day. And living in Augusta most vets were unavailable or no power from the hurricane week before. They did an amazing job with him. Very professional team. Explaining everything before anything was done. Then also very patient with me as his owner asking a million and one questions. Thank you and Petey would too.

All of the staff were so kind and patient with me and with Bert, our Staffie- Pitbull mix.
We appreciate the excellent care, even as they were working off a generator! We came in the day that Hurricane Helene hit.
We were so thankful the staff had come to work, even though I’m sure they had plenty to deal with at home.
I’d like to add that Dr Kolb and Dr Withycombe, Bert’s daytime and nighttime vets, were absolutely wonderful. Both gave me in-depth reports on Bert’s progress. He’d been hit by a car and had head trauma and internal injuries, along with a lot of road rash.
This is our 2nd time coming here (Bert’s first time) and I highly recommend them.

We did not learn anything about our dog's condition in four hours of time and over $1000.00 out of pocket. This is a business and every interaction with staff indicates that.(more power to them, I'm sure they are doing well) Blood tests, X-rays, and medication the result being wait and observe. Our dog recovered quickly but we won't bring him back if he gets sick again.

They took really good care of my dog Hank. Similar to a people Urgent care or ER, it took 4 hrs and we were there early. But they were professional and caring. The doctor was honest and cost conservative when it came to treatment. We are very appreciative of their services.
