They always overcharge for their services. The staff is very nice, but not worth the price. This is the same reason my parents stopped going here. Today, I spent over $400 to get shots for my two cats. My cat has had sneezing and coughing problems every time I take her for at least the past two years; instead of prescribing a medicine to help her, they ask me to spend even more money on blood work. I'm sorry my $400 vet bill doesn't cover all vet services, but I guess I'll take my money elsewhere.

We were going to Garners Ferry Animal Hospital when we had an emergency on the weekend. Since Garners Ferry is only open Monday through Friday 8 am- 5pm we had to go to CVETS and found that there could be an 8 hour wait. I called SWAC and they were kind enough to see us within 1.5 hours. The staff and Dr. Bradley were amazing. We decided to see Dr. Cosentino as Milo's regular vet and went in for a meet and greet and to get Milo's Bordetella Vaccine and Flu Vaccine since Garners Ferry Animal Hospital does not, at the time, have the flu vaccine in their office. We have since transferred Milo to SWAH and have not been disappointed. The staff that I have spoken with several times in office and on the phone are professional, accommodating, and friendly! I would highly recommend SWAH to anyone who needs amazing, friendly, and caring veterinarians and staff! Thanks for being there for us and Milo Shandon-Wood!

Firstly, I want to say that the treatment of our boy was impeccable when he underwent neutering as a 2 1/2 year old boxer. The issues I have are on the human side, shortcomings like I have never experienced. When it came close to time for the procedure they called me and we discussed it. I informed the lady that I was a numbers kind of person and I needed to have the costs start to finish so there would be no surprises. She gave me a number, which I thought was kind of high, but I liked our experience here prior and was ok. Then the day of the surgery I got a call at work, which I immediately thought there were problems. I was told that when they did the neutering they wanted to know I wanted them to remove the sack. I was stunned, then to add insult I was told it would be another $78!!!! I thought that when that part of the anatomy was removed it would have included sack, but no a surprise. Of course I told them to proceed I just thought it was just a quick want to make an extra buck move!!!The worst part is the follow up. It has been 16 days since the procedure and I have not heard a word from anyone at the clinic checking on my boy, how he was doing. Nit once! I took a picture of the incision for the doc to look at at 14 days. The agreement was that she was going to look at the photo and approve or not approve for my wife, a nurse, to remove the staples. That was 2 days ago and again crickets! Not a word back at all! The staples are out and he is fine, but no thanks the clinic or the doctor. As I stated, I have no problem with the skill practiced at all!!! Just the human aspect, they should be ashamed of themselves. Definitely not the “caring” they advertised.

We have been patients since we moved here in 2017 and sadly had to put our very senior dog to sleep last Saturday. The team was incredibly kind and professional from making the appt (guy with the Ireland badge reel, thank you!) to walking in to the office on the day of - they made an incredibly difficult time in our lives more bearable. He was, from his adoption, a human aggressive dog so I had intense anxiety about the entire experience, but they were ok with us being present for the IV and were kind and careful during the entire process. We usually see Dr Rasor, but given the situation we had Dr Sine on that day and she was very thoughtful and compassionate. As a physician by day, life and death experiences can be everyday for me for humans, but with my own pet this was thrown to the wind, and I appreciate the personalized and empathetic approach taken by the SWAC team. Thank you!

I was trying to get the results from bloodwork done 2 weeks ago(they said they would call me back 24-48hrs later) and the front desk lady hung up on me THREE times while my dog was actively having a seizure because she said my tone was disrespectful!!!!! had my papers transferred to another clinic that same day!!!

We LOVE SWAC--the vets, the staff, the facilities, the client / customer service experience, the boarding, the location, the hours. Everything! We've been clients for over five years on both the cat and dog side. We've seen most of the vets and worked with a lot of the staff, too.We came to SWAC on account of a corncob that our beagle mix Violet ate out of sheer spite. Our regular vet was closed and the nearest ER vet was 30+ minutes (and always an ordeal, because Violet was a bitey baby). SWAC, still open with their urgent care hours, took us on that day and we had that corncob back Earth-side within the hour. Four years later when it was Violet's time, Dr. Harris gave her the most compassionate send off--he was so gentle with us and kind. We'll never forget it.Our other beagle mix Luna was also in her second act when we came to SWAC. She was a springy girl and at 11, mid-Zoomies, tore her CCL--of course, at the peak of the pandemic. Dr. Otis managed her pain and directed her rehabilitation over several months, delivering attentive care through their contagion-conscious curbside service era. When I moronically dropped some dried fruit while making oatmeal, and Luna (deaf to "LEAVE IT LEAVE IT!") scooped up what was likely golden raisins, SWAC got us in right away and Dr. Cosentino immediately was on the case. He managed her system-flush over several days' hospitalization and invited me to visit her while she was there. He's always so warm and cheerful--I felt like such a dolt and he helped me regain perspective that accidents happen. Dr. Harris managed most of Luna's senior care, listening to us carefully and examining her closely. We always appreciated how he was friendly, but direct. He explains issues clearly and often offered us multiple treatment courses from conservative to exhaustive. We appreciate that he never pressured us to pursue costly or invasive procedures: he just states the facts, conveys the veterinary knowledge we need to make care decisions, and affirms our choices going forward. We also appreciate his sense of humor and clear love for every pet he encounters. After our experience with Violet, it was a great comfort to have him see our old girl Luna off on her merry way this weekend. He helped us understand when it would be her time, based on the cumulative effects of her various chronic old dog conditions on her quality of life. Thanks to Dr. Harris we are at peace with the timing--which can be so hard with elective humane euthanasia. You always worry you're going to be too soon or too late, but his guidance helped us make this difficult decision. We are sad to only have one pet-client left at SWAC because when she's gone we will miss seeing them. Their kindness as a practice has really given us a sense of community around our pets' care. If you're reading this and looking for a vet, please know that you'll be in the best hands at SWAC. Thank you so much to all of the staff and vets at SWAC. WE APPRECIATE YOU!

I really adore this veterinary practice! They are incredibly helpful and responsive not only on the phone but as soon as you walk in the front door. The staff is just delightful across the board.Dr. Cosentino and his other colleagues we have seen previously for unexpected sick visits have been fabulous with my dog, friendly and professional. I am so appreciative of the care he has received at SWAC!

Horrible experience. Do not come to this vet unless you are planning on spending 1k MINIMUM. The overcharging is ridiculous, they are charging at least double what others are. I waited HOURS for the vet to come take care of my dog, and then they just took her out of the room and I was sitting alone in an exam room, without being able to discuss vet care or what was going on with my dog? It was bizarre behavior I've never experienced before. Then we sat there for another hour, hours longer than I had expected, making me late for work, and discussed the various tests we could run and various medications we could get, the whole time I'm like is this really necessary? She just had some mild allergies from fleas, which I told the vet but got the feeling I was being talked down to for not wanting the tests. So we did the tests and got the medication and all the tests were NEGATIVE and the medication was ridiculously expensive for basic antibiotics and lidocaine. I would never go back.
