We travel to this area regularly with our pets and on two occasions several years apart, we have had 2 elderly pets become acutely ill and require care here in a rather emergency-like fashion. The staff here could not have been more accommodating and caring at such a stressful time...open 24/7.

I just spent the afternoon at South Carolina Veterinary Specialists and Emergency Care (Urgent Care) in Irma, SC with my pup. She got a laceration on one of her paw pads while running around outside. I called them immediately afterwards and they were able to get her in for an Urgent Care appointment within two hours. Considering the circumstances it was an excellent experience. They could teach the human Urgent Cares / Emergency Rooms a thing or two about customer service, patient care, timeliness, efficiency, and pricing. My dog received more humane treatment than I ever have at an emergency room or urgent care. I'd rather not need emergency care for my dogs, but I'm thankful they are open and available whenever we need them.

Terrible visit with my puppy. They are very rude and unprofessional. The way they treated my puppy was not good at all. Left immediately and came to CVets. They are all very friendly and definitely care about my puppy

I had a really great experience here. I brought my GSD in for back end pain, and Dr. Thomas was very thorough with my dogs examination. When we found out what the issue was she had no problem answering all of my questions about treatment and what this meant for the future of my pet. She was patient, kind, and overall made me feel like she really cared about my dogs well-being. The visit was about $500 for the consultation, X-rays, and medication, which was pricey but I'm ok paying it if it means my dog will be ok for now. Im really thankful for both Dr. Thomas and her nurse that helped us out.

Would leave zero stars if possible. Came in for an emergency. Was brought back to a room and was told the doctor would run tests, do blood work, X-rays, etc. waited another 4 hours just to be told that they would now start doing tests. We were led to believe that a vet had seen our dog and would be out to discuss test results. Poor communication from all around. Then tech seemed very offended and annoyed that we wanted to leave and go elsewhere. Can't seem to think why anyone would want to stay. 5 hours total and still hadn't received any info or updates.

I took my cat here and we thought its foot would have to be amputated but they said it wouldn't and they charged us nothing

Let them know what you're willing to spend ahead of time. Or else they'll charge too much.

We had a terrible experience here. It took 11 hrs to not get an answer...but did get a pretty hefty bill. Be prepared to spend a large amount of time waiting, not get any updates for hours at a time, and then have the staff make up what's going on. We were totally lied to about what was done by the staff, only to get a different answer from the actual vet. Also be prepared for everything done above the $140 consultation to cost $200-300 per item.

So very thoughtful caring and supportive not only of the pets but the families as well. I can't extend enough gratitude.

Staff were compassionate and efficient. Despite bigger emergencies coming in and being triaged before us, my cat with a URI was in and out in less than four hours on a Sunday afternoon.

Can't see the bill until after they have already swiped your card. They charge triple the price for medications when comparing to other vets. Also have a BOGUS $20 dispending fee they add on just for handing you the medicine. Don't take your sick animal here. You will be overcharged and there is zero sympathy for your animal.

If you have an emergency go here. My poor Monty was acting weird and kept going to the bathroom and not producing much. It was 10 pm and i was going to bed and he was still in the same spot then i saw his member was swollen and he was crying i immediately got him in his carrier and saw this place pop up and called them and they were quick and friendly to answer. They told me the initial emergency fee and when i got there the lady at the front was very nice to me and my cat. It was a busy night but even it being busy they took my boy to the back immediately and the vet ( Dr Tara Hardy ) came out and explained what was going on and what they had to do. She was very comforting and helpful. I liked that i was able to wait in my car or the waiting room and when i was in the car she called and explained everything that he needed and i gave her the go ahead and when it was time to pay and she gave me the medications. She was very open and thorough to all my questions and explained everything in great detail on how to take precautions and hopefully prevent his urinary infection from happening again. If i ever have an emergency with any 3 of my cats theyre going here. She told me what to look out for after treatment and i followed everything she said to a t. Now a few days later my baby is happy and peeing and back to his normal self.

When they want to take your $5,000 they are nice and friendly. However when you call back and Shawntae answers the phone they are the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever spoken to. I guess racism is ok at this establishment, or at least for Shawntae, because my wife is of Latin descent with an accent it is ok to say I don't understand you and hang up the phone. Then when I called back she said it was my wife that was rude etc, except it's on a recording. When I told her that she became irate, began interrupting me and talking over me as well. She then threatened to call the police and press harassment charges because she refused to give her supervisors name or number. Later it was given by a different employee and for future reference it is Tracie Quick. I know they will give the same generic response that they have for everyone else that has complained, but that's ok. We have the recordings of how incredibly rude and racist Shawntae was and will let public opinion prevail sad that they literally called the police because they would not give a supervisors name, seems to be a common problem and no accountability within this company
