Kyle was recommended for nails and upon sitting down he had no interest in greeting, even with a simple hello; even after speaking myself and being real friendly trying to start conversation, and lighten the energy received. All he did was gesture to sit down and asked what was desired. When shown a picture, he said he didn’t need a photo real snarky. Only he really did. ?Even with please and thank you’s, this guy and his attitude was just mind blowing. He was very cocky but his presence/personality was very off putting. Confidence is perfect, but when someone cocky and unpleasant AND their work is just alright, it’s the worse. He had attitude and movement as if he assumed from the very beginning he wouldn’t get a good tip. Then when he was finished, he walked off. No thank you, no nothing. When you behave the way you do, assuming you won’t get a great tip, more than likely assuming because of the color of a persons skin, is trash service to me, and of course why would you! You just set the tone and precedence of what will more than likely occur before giving the situation and customer a freaking chance! But in reality, YOU are the reason you don’t get the tips you think you deserve.
For the prices for nails nowadays, and irregardless, it shouldn’t matter what the heck a person looks like.
May all the luck rolling the dice with him, be in your favor. ?

You have to come see Tina! This is probably my second review that I have ever completed but I am doing it for this lady because she’s absolutely amazing.
Again, I do not do things like this, but she’s so amazing and I can’t wait to come back and see her again. I come here every 2 to 3 weeks now and if you have an issue with your toenails, she’s very gentle and will take care of it 100%. Love you Tina!

I usually have a great experience at this location, but today was different. The nail technician who worked on my nails was both careless and rude. He seemed frustrated with me and was distracted by his phone throughout the appointment. I felt too uncomfortable to speak up. He left polish on my fingers, did a poor job overall, left bumps on top of my nails, and my nails are crooked.

The rating I’m giving them is not for the work done, but for the service provided. Bottom line up front, I experienced racial bias today. I was sitting and had been waiting for several minutes for a technician to become available. While waiting a white lady entered the building and sat next to me. One of the Asian female workers (AFW) immediately greeted her and was getting ready to take her to the back. The Asian male workers (AMW) at the counter informed the AFW that I was next. Before taking me back the two Asian workers then spoke to each other in their native language. The AFW didn’t appear to be happy about taking me before the white lady but she did. To get to the gist of everything… After the work was done and I’m checking out, the same AMW wasn’t very interactive. So I figured he was tired and initially didn’t think much about it. Then the same white lady came to the counter to check out. His whole demeanor changed, the AMW was very friendly. He even apologized for her wait, and went further to ask her how was the service she received. As I listened and begin to look in their direction (which was directly next to me), he then looked up towards me and asked, “ Oh yeah, how was your service too?” I responded, “it was good.”
I promise I don’t get it. My money and business and that of the black community are just as good as any white or any other racial ethnic group. Why the Asian community in this industry think it’s okay to mishandle black Americans who patronize their businesses when it comes to them servicing whites baffles me. This is the second time I have experienced this in a nail shop here in Columbia/Midlands area. The first time it happened I chose to show grace. This time, no way because I’m beginning to see a trend. Honestly, one time is too many, but a second time is completely unacceptable.
