I would like to first explain that I take my dad with me to the gym. He has dementia and taking him to the gym is a way for him to keep moving and stay active. Today August 22, 2024 when we were leaving my dad likes to grab the little candies from the front and shake or fist bump the staff. So as I was turning around I saw the manager she is a white woman with brown hair. She had a very nasty look on her face when he was trying to fist bump her and once I saw that I went to her and said he has dementia and she didn’t seem to really care or apologize about the situation. After walking to the car it didn’t sit right with me for my dad to be treated in this manner. So then I went back in to cancel my membership which was readily accepted, after that I try to explain to her the situation again, and she said “you don’t have to come here” and after that I had some choice words for her. I would like to speak with the owner of this planet fitness franchise. Thank you for your time Grier Bynoe.

I actually like the Garners Ferry location.. Not too busy, not suffocating and it's always clean.. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because employee's like Veronica picks and chooses who she enforce the rules on. On any given day someone is taking selfie, talking on the phone or training other people who dont work for PF.. She is forever telling someone to go to lobby to take calls when other senior citizens are on their phone on the machines and overlooking the cameras and training. I get you are allowed to have your own rules, but to pick and choose who you enforce the rules on is annoying especially when the other 30 rules posted others are breaking... Just be consistent or make some changes because the location is filled with military retired veterans who have calls coming for appts ect..

Very spacious and clean gym! Staff is very friendly!! The hours are a little different than back home(NH 24 hrs).
But, overall it's a great gym!!!

Just moved here from phx az been going here for a week or 2 now and so far I like just wish you had non assisted bench press machines and punching bag of some sort sauna be nice but can see why here is not needed

I don't go there anymore.
I was working out talking with my on the phone with my headset on, a who was cleaning at that time came up to me and said I can't use my phone while working out.
I was like what TF???
Are you serious dude?
And the irony is you could hear other people having conversations, they were loud, laughing. My wife could barely hear me cause the gym was very noisy with all the people talking and music playing at the gym. I went to another gym nearby by , I never had this problem.
This is so wrong IMO!

So I work for TMC and I joined planet fitness because they are pretty much all over the United States. I reside in New Jersey so I still go to my local gym but I have to say it's not bad at all. I'm glad I joined.

I've been going here for a couple months now and I'm very happy with this gym. People are friendly everything is well kept and clean. Nobody can park in the lines but I think that's a Columbia thing. ? Plenty of parking regardless. Easy to get in and out. ?
