My life has been complete ruined because I trusted a sleazy car salesman by the name of Ernie Wright!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!
June 7th I went in with a check from my bank for 22k. I walked the lot looking for sticker prices. As I returned I was met by Ernie asking could help me. I’m certain he could see the frustration on my face and smell the desperation on me. We began a conversation of him asking what I needed in a vehicle. I told him I needed an SUV but the Cherokee was my dream and that I did not need a lender. Just a good car. Me, my daughter and my infant granddaughter sat there for 8 hours as he “worked” to get the deal done. When the sale was finally complete and I had keys in hand I wanted to connect my phone to the SUV before I pulled off. All of a sudden the touch panel was acting crazy. I went back into the dealership to tell him. He said it was no big deal and they would have someone look at it Monday. Over the next few weeks he dodged my calls and texts as I tried to see when they were going get the touch panel repaired. On June 30th the engine light came on. I text and called Ernie. His response to me was that the engine light could only be on because of the touch panel. Ernie gave me his word that the SUV was freshly serviced and there could be no engine issues that this was definitely a sensor/computer issue due to the touch panel. In addition to the engine light being on, the remote start and start/stop function stopped working. On July 1, I took it to get a small free diagnostic test to find out the engine had a misfire and the other issues “could” come from needing a new starter or alternator. When I went in to show Earnie the diagnostic he again said that these issues were from the touch panel and when they get it repaired if that did not correct the issue they would have their mechanic look at the engine. Within, the next week the SUV ran hot. Upon checking the coolant reservoir I found oil in the coolant, an indicator that a head gasket is blown. Upon reaching out to Earnie he was rude and insensitive to me and had no intention of honoring his promises of repairing or replacing. There are other details to this story but too much to text here. To me the worst part is he came to me on that first day representing himself as a man of God saying he was just sitting at his desk praying for a sale. As a woman of God I trusted him. He even shed some crocodile tears as we were signing all of the papers. They have done little to rectify this situation. This man saw me with my daughter and new grandbaby knowing I have a family to care for and he had no regard for our life. I am now stuck with a loan for 22k that I can not repay. I have no vehicle to drive because the repair estimate is over 7k. I am a Gig Worker so with no car I have no money. Earnie knew all of this as well. Due to this my family has been separated because of eviction. I am now homeless. Thank God someone took my daughter and her baby in. But I regret the day I ever considered doing business with these demons. DO NOT EVEN LOOK IN THE DIRECTION OF PAYLESS THEY WILL SELL YOU A LEMON AND THEN ACT AS IF YOU DONT EVEN EXIST. SAVE YOURSELF!!!

I came in on Friday just to see what my options where and the whole team was very helpful and stuck with me through the whole process and worked with me. They even took me to drop off my rental and brought me back to the lot to pick up my car. I must admit I came on a spur and I must say I’m very happy.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Avoid this place AT ALL COSTS! If I could rate this place a -5 I would! My sister bought a car from this dealership on June 11. After she got the car the touch panel wasn’t working and the engine light came on so she contacted the owner to fix it. He told her to “I’ll get around to it” and proceeded to ignore her texts and calls. She finally went up to the dealership a week later and he told her that the engine light was on due to the issues with the touch panel. He promised to fix it after the Fourth of July but after she got home the car started running hot. She checked the coolant and found that the HEAD GASKET WAS BLOWN. She contacted the owner again to notify him of the issue and his response was “if the car is still under warranty then go get it fixed because we’re not paying to fix it”. Today we called the warranty company just to find out that THE OWNER NEVER SUBMITTED THE CONTRACT TO THE WARRANTY COMPANY. ERNEST WRIGHT is a crooked car salesman and he will take your money and give you a raggedy car. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM HERE.

Payless Car Sales provided my family and I with a good first-time car-buying experience. We had been car shopping for quite a while and had gotten frustrated and tired with the process. After visiting Payless Car Sales and letting them know what I wanted and needed, the team worked tirelessly to get us what we needed. Where do I begin? My fiancé and I were searching for a new truck. We ended up here by word of mouth.
We were greeted by Mr. Tony at the door. He is one of the most sweetest, most honest people, and most respectable men I've met.
We gave him our info and then spoke with Todd. He's so down to earth and personable. Todd will work with you and find out what you want and need.
We landed on a Chevy Silverado. She's a beauty, too.
Mr. Wright walked us through the numbers. He, too, is very genuine and personable.
We had lots of laughs in this place, and we'll definitely return for our next vehicle.
You won't be disappointed if you stop by. The customer service is top-notch.

I give this car dealership 5 stars! Mr. John and Mr. Earnie got me approved for a car when no one else would here in Columbia. After the tedious process of searching for a new car, they did everything they could to help me leave on wheels. I rode by daily and would point to a specific car on their lot and who woulda thought I'll be in my dream car❤️ Mr. Tony said lets get your car and Mr.Earnie said lets see what we could do. These two showed compassion, patient, and took there time with making sure I was able to afford my dream car. They watch me smile from ear to ear ??
