Living at granby was the most fun I’ve had in college. The apartments are beyond spacious, neighbors are extremely social, and I always knew there was plenty to do. Whether it is the volleyball courts, the pool, or basketball court there was always fun to be had. To any person thinking about living here I can not recommend it enough. Great place to live and it will greatly add to your college experience

Residents are really nice. They gave great directions when I got a flat tire

The apartment gyms are all big and have a lot of equipment however, they are pretty crowded at all times during the day and most of the equipment is broken. All the apartments have cool little mini attractions such as mini golf and bocci courts. The apartments have tall windows which look cool but heat up the apartment rapidly causing you to have to run the AC all day. Well that and the fact that the windows in the bedrooms are just holes in the wall, so if you're planning on moving in make sure to bring some plexiglass and gorilla glue. Parking is a catastrophe in both lots. Good luck trying to find a spot after 7 PM as everyone converges at the mills for the nightlife parties which you'll hear every detail as the walls are only a solid 2 inches thick. When you park here make sure not to park in the lot behind the pool as by the time you go back out there you'll find an ant colony crawling around inside. The elevators are another problem here as they only work for ten days a year, so good luck. To end it off on a good note The mills leasing office is friendly and they'll do catering from time to time.

Parking is the absolute worst at all times… on top of never being able to find a spot, 2 of my roommates had ant infestations in their cars. The location is nice if you plan on walking to school but its pretty irrelevant if you are driving to school. Traffic by the mills is the worst when there’s a home game, which during the fall semester is pretty often. The elevators are broken 50% of the time and if they stop working on the weekend, don’t expect it to be working again until Monday. The walls are not very soundproof, and a lot of people throw parties at Granby and Olympia… the problem there should be pretty self-evident The maintenance people are nice, fast, and discreet so that is nice because I don’t want to see them and the problem is fixed as soon as you look away. The pool, the ping pong tables, the put put course, the pool table are all pretty trivial distractions from the critical problems this place has. Those amenities are only there to attract sophomores to convince their parents to overpay for a mediocre living situation. The price of this place is only ever justified by the close proximity to the campus, and after spending a year here, I want to leave. The people in the main office are alright, I’ve never had any problems with them but I’ve heard about some bad experiences. Also (hoping they see this) their phone number (on google or their website) doesn’t work. The parties this place has are pretty fun though, so find a cool friend at college and network your way to a party without actually having to live here.

My car got broken into while in the front parking lot. This is no longer a problem thankfully! Not only can I not even find parking anymore which solves my problem, my car also got invaded by ants which really fixed it for me! Great for students as if you ever need a quick break from the tough workload of college, take a quick dip in the pool- you'll be sure to catch something. Speaking of the pool, if you ever need anyone to chill with or crack a few beers with, there's always highschoolers at the college apartment complex's pool. The Mills is the foil to Jay's or Shiv's. Whereas Jay's and Shiv's makes sure we always see the good in life, the Mills does the thankless job of making sure we see the other less advertised parts of Columbia!

Worst place to live. Moved into an apartment with a broken dryer. Wouldn’t give us a new one until January, five months later. Elevators stay broken for months at a time. The toilet of the unit above mine mildly flooded my apartment. No emergency number for after 5 p.m. or weekends. Construction of apartments is extremely loud and workers smoke cigarettes inside. Construction also takes up significant portion of the already limited parking and has lead to several cars being damaged. Certain leasing office employees must do nothing, as they barley return calls or emails. Security is the only good part of this place and they don’t even have a desk in Granby. Don’t walk, run, in the complete other direction.

Worst place to live. Moved into an apartment with a broken dryer. Wouldn’t give us a new one until January, five months later. Had to ask at least 15 times via email, phone, website, and in person. They didn’t care until we presented our lease to emphasize their insane violation. Only sent one maintenance person and asked for our help to install new dryer. Elevators stay broken for months at a time. The toilet of the unit above ours mildly flooded my apartment. No emergency number for after 5 p.m. or weekends. Construction of apartments is extremely loud. Construction also takes up significant portion of the already limited parking and has lead to several cars being damaged. Leasing office barley return calls or emails. Security is the only good part of this place but they don’t have a desk in Granby. Parts of the building smells of cigarettes. And, currently the door fob reader is broken for the second day, and there is no way to get into contact with anyone about it. Don’t walk, run, in the complete other direction

The Mills is a fantastic place to live. Not only have they created a fun and interactive community, but they do it in a safe and respectful manner. I love being able to feel at home while also participating in college-related activities like the pool parties they host. There are many different buildings to choose from; however, I'm biased towards the Cottages because that is where I live now. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern style of this apartment and the spaciousness of every room. Overall, 10/10 would only want to live here!!!

My son will be moving off campus next year, so we went ahead and took a tour of the property. We were so impressed with everything! The open layout of the apartments with large windows to allow natural light can’t be beat. The leasing office staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. It’s definitely on the top of his list for places to live next year.

I have lived in granby for 2 years and have loved it. The open floor plan allows you to do whatever you want with the space and truly make it feel like home. I love the high windows for natural light to come in and for the great view of the city of Columbia! I would recommend living at the Mills to anyone!

The leasing office has always been so helpful in addressing every concern or question I’ve had living in Granby! They create such a friendly atmosphere where students feel extremely safe and welcome! The security at my building is also exceptional! The buildings themselves and rooms are absolutely beautiful and so spacious, I would recommend this apartment complex to anyone in Columbia!
