I'm new to the area and was told to check out this gym. I came in happy and asked about their 7 day trail. Which I was excited about however, the man at the front desk was very helpful and nice but the manager or lady in the house with white or pink nails was rude and said she couldn't help set me up bc she had a lot to do. But thought attending to customers was one of them. After that. The young man told me to just go workout and someone would help me afterwards. I went and walked around and just left bc first impression is everything. I enjoy the gym and but I've never been to a gym where people weren't welling to help. Do your job.

Your experience with MUV will depend entirely on which location you frequent as well as what your “gym priorities” are. The Forest Acres gym is my regular gym because it’s the closest to my house but I make it a point to go to the West Columbia location whenever I can because it’s just better in almost every way. (Cleaner, nicer staff, less crowded, etc.) The Forest Acres location bathrooms are ALWAYS disgusting. Like literal feces on the floor in the stalls disgusting. Horrible smell, urinal cakes that haven’t been changed in days, entire floor wet with mystery fluid, lockers dirty, etc. And again, it’s not just sometimes. It’s every single day. It’s blatantly obvious that cleanliness is at the very bottom of the list of priorities for the Forest Acres location. I know multiple people (mostly women) that refuse to go to this location because of how nasty it is. However, being a guy that’s just there to lift weights, the cleanliness is kind of whatever to me because they do have a very good selection of equipment. Some of the staff there can be great. Rodney the trainer is a super nice guy, the manager is nice and some of the front desk staff are pleasant to interact with, but most of the sales staff/trainers won’t even send you off with a “have a good day” or welcome you when you come in if you aren’t paying for training sessions with them or signing up for something. They’ll look right at you and not say a word lol. Kinda wild but it’s all good bc I’m not there to socialize. I’m there to workout so it’s fine. To summarize, if you workout multiple times a week and are quick to shrug things off and just go about your workout/day then you’ll probably be fine with MUV. Equipment is good and lots to choose from. If cleanliness is a priority for you then you’d better look elsewhere ?.

It’s an average gym with good sport options (a pool, squash courts, cardio training and gym, etc) but the cleanliness of it could be improved. Women’s locker rooms are dirty and people use sauna with their sweaty sport clothes and shoes on. Yuck! The kids room is a definite plus.

Quite a bit of space and equipment, and doesn't seem ridiculously expensive. But one of my main goals is to have a place to lap swim, and that pool is ancient and clearly an after thought (one "lane line" and essentially no overflow means there's NO reduction of wake from other swimmers) at this location. It worked for a workout, but probably won't be back after the trial.

We changed credit card and we are going there almost once per week. They didn't tell us that they needed to update the credit card... they preferred to charge 23.50 dollars of penalty and send a mail. Well, let's hope they use this money to pay a decent cleaning service....considering how filthy are the locking rooms with pee on the floors, dusty cabinets and bad looking showers. I remain with this gym just because my trainer is really good. That's it.

I have had a great experience at MUV. I joined here a few months ago and have been training with Corey each week. It’s been so helpful! I began with a very outdated (cough, almost 20 years, cough) knowledge of the basics in the weight room and Corey has helped me learn technique, get motivated, and even dream a little about my fitness goals. Very thankful for this trajectory shifting chapter of my personal health and looking forward to keeping on at MUV!

Best gym I've been to ever. And reasonable to sign up, not overly salesy. I would highly recommend. Only problem I have is there's not more muv's throughout the country.

This gym is nasty, not clean. Needs a deep cleaning and update badly. A lot of trainers and very few people cleaning. The gym is dirty, don't matter what time you go in. I go 1st thing Saturday morning and the bathroom smell, showers have little gnats flying around. I also go to planet fitness and the gym/locker rooms are also clean when I go

I like Muv Fitness. I believe that it's a good price for what the gym offers. I do believe that they need to hire people to help keep the sanitary conditions up. The men's restroom could use a lot more attention in the locker room and on the 2nd floor. Attention needs to be paid to the weight area's. Customers should not have to walk around looking for weights. Each weight station should have the weights. That's required for that station.

MUV Fitness is a great place to be. All of the people there treat you well and with respect. The gym is convenient and Hass all the equipment needed. Everything is also wiped down. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Lots of really good equipment and personal training. A few things need new handles and the stair railing is sticky. The staff is always very friendly.

Don't sign up. They just wanna squeeze every dollar out of you by making you sign up for a one year membership and won't let you cancel without a doctor's note.....

The sauna in the woman's locker isfrequently broken. When I call to ask if it is working staff doesn't know and can't go check. I have been told it is working a few times and have driven there a few times and it is broken. The staff at the front desk should have knowledge if something isn't working. There needs to be better communication among staff.

This is a very dirty gym. The woman’s locker room, the pool and sauna areas. People getting in he pool and sauna straight from a workout without rinsing off and getting in the water with dirty feet. Windows that you can’t even see out of. Even the offices of the staff are sloppy. Locker room has very dusty air vents and railings and the wet areas are Moldy. I have to use my inhaler afterward. I expected more from a gym in Forest Acres. The sales rep was so friendly when I signed up now won’t even make eye contact or say hello. The only reason I give it 3 stars is for my trainer David. He is Awesome. In a short period of time he is making a difference in my overall physical health. Unhealthy environment. Very disappointed. If things don’t change I won’t be renewing at this location. The lady (Manager) who I spoke with in the beginning was also very pleasant and still is.

These people do not want your money! Twice now I have shown up in person to renew for a year of membership paid in full only to be told they have nobody that can see me. They have all my info, know exactly what I want; all I need is somebody who can process a payment. Too challenging I suppose.
