“We were looking around and pricing out a new mattress. We had been to 2 others stores who were pushy and saw us as a sale despite us stating budget and that we were not buying same day but rather looking at our options. Went into Ashley and we stated we were looking to buy in the next month, wanted prices and to see what would be in our budget range as far as quality and comfort. They were straight forward, not pushy at all and this actually led us to buying same day. They respected our words and treated us fairly with full transparency. It was a great buying experience. I checked out a few other pieces while I was there just to look while they did paper work. Highly recommend this location. Store manager was wonderful to work with.”

“"Overwhelm" arrived while I was downsizing with one hand and hauling stuff in from a family home with the other. Boxes, furniture, stuff was everywhere! Decades of it. I decided to free myself by clearing out and transforming the new smaller space. It was scary. The search began for the right person to accomplish the goal of intentionally creating a haven. And, helping me let go of the physical stuff.
Upon meeting Kim Benson, I took an immediate like to her. Kim accepted the organize and re-create challenge.
The blues and greens on the walls came from a favorite rock. My heart's desire, deep drawers in the bathroom, magically blended in without construction. Ambient light. The eyesore of a fireplace's makeover is nothing short of amazing. There's a Rod Stewart trading card. The house is easy to keep straight. Kim decoupaged quotes inside the night table drawer. The pottery collection has never looked so beautiful. Kim found, and repaired, a Japanese goddess mask. Shelving units were added to closets.
You get the idea. It was a huge transformation. You'll like Kim, too.”

“My favorite store in Columbia. The clothing and home decor are beautiful and unique. The candles are amazing. You never know what unique finds you will come across in this store. “As far as I am concerned, Carl Thomas Lamps is the only place I would have a lamp re-wired, buy a new lamp, or a shade. I have been doing business there since the late 1990s. We inherited lamps from the 1940s & 1950s. He rewired and cleaned them up. Tragedy struck & our home burned. We took these same lamps along with a few others & all were re-wired, some the second. We purchased 2 lamps recently with green cut glass & they are being rehabbed, wires, shades and all. I highly recommend this business. If you have a special object made into a lamp, take it here.”
“Love this store. It has the best variety of bird food I have ever seen and wonderful dog and cat food. Employees are quite friendly and helpful unlike other stores. Also great clothes for the working person. Lots of other hardware items. And I do not have to walk miles to find something like in the other large box stores! Great for me.”
