My rating 2 days ago would’ve been much better because it would’ve been based on the way an egregious oversight had appeared to have been handled. It appeared that there was a level of empathy and customer service that is quickly dying. However, it was all a show.If you have food allergies or a sensitive stomach, EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK.A careless hotel employee mislabeled a breakfast item and I was sick for 3 days due to an allergic reaction from said item. I was assured that the situation would be handled post haste.Upon disclosing this to hotel staff, they quickly applied compensation to my account or so I thought. The things being added were things that I would’ve gotten anyway. So, there was truly no above and beyond measure. As a show of gratitude, I didn’t complain about the incessant beeping from the Smoke Detector for 2 days. Pretty sure, that’s a FIRE CODE VIOLATION and here I am on the 5th floor.Nor did I complain about there being ONE barely functional elevator. What started out as a decent stay quickly deteriorated into a massive disappointment.I guess standards don’t exist anymore.Food & drinks: Lots to choose from nearby.

The breakfast was nice. There are plenty of hot items to choose from like grits, oatmeal, sausage, waffles, and omelets. The king room we had was very clean and cozy. Definetly will be my first choice to stay when I visit Columbia again.

I did not even get to stay here. I had made a reservation and when I called to cancel because they had not emailed me a confirmation number it could not be canceled so they there was no reservation. I called the Hilton Corporate office, they found my reservation and canceled it for me. The front people at that Hampton Inn needs some more training on customer service.

Great place for an overnight. Everything was perfect except breakfast staff. They started cleaning and were rude even if you arrived before breakfast was over.Food & drinks: Breakfast staff clean up early and want you out.

Stayed here for work last week and had a memorable experience.Pros: The hotel has great outdoor space and a nice walking path around a pond.Cons: I discovered in the middle of the night that the other queen bed next to the one I was sleeping in had quite a few bugs crawling over the sheets.I was given a new room and comped the night, and I believe they said if it turned out to be bedbugs they will let me know. I'd like to be notified either way for peace of mind.Wanted to say that overall I had a very pleasant experience with the staff, everyone was very pleasant.

This hotel is AMAZING!!! It is in a perfect location for shopping and is surrounded by different varieties of food options. The pool and outdoor cooking area are nicely set up. The facility was very clean and accommodating. The staff was VERY friendly and had pleasant communication and interaction. The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The only critique that I have is the breakfast options are very basic and limited. If the breakfast was better, I would have scored a perfect 10. We stayed for 2 nights and had to purchase breakfast each day.Rooms: The rooms were very spacious and clean. The TV's are relatively small (32-in) but that was not necessarily a deal breaker.Nearby activities: There is plenty of shopping nearby in various price ranges: Ross, Marshalls, Rainbow, Nordstrom's Rack, Mall, Academy, Walmart, Sam's Club.Safety: I felt very safe and the area was lite up very well.Walkability: There was a like nearby that you were able to walk to. You were also able to walk to eat a Wendy's, Hooters, and Applebee's. It was very convenient.

Had a little vacation in Columbia SC, booked Hampton inn by Hilton for 5 nights. I needed a quiet room and I chose to stay in 6 floor, got room 603. First night I woke up by fire alarm around midnight and couldn’t sleep for a long time…next day front desk employees explained what happened…I’m so glad they made an effort to help every guest and make sure guests have a safe and happy stay in the hotel. The room was clean, but just need a little bit attention, however the bed was comfortable. I’ve met hotel housekeepers, maintenance staff, employees other than front desk staff, they were all very polite and friendly. There is a beautiful lake behind the hotel, guests can have a nice walk in the morning and evening, I really enjoyed it! It made my stay at this hotel much better. Thanks for your effort, and I am quite happy to sharing this experience with others!

This hotel is far from 4.5 rating on Google. It’s 2.0 The hotel room look like it hasn’t been vacuumed in I don’t know how long. There was crumbs all over the floor. The chair was stained and also had crumbs on it. The walls were dirty. The lampshades were dirty. Bathroom floor was dirty. Also had hairs stuck to the bathroom door. Paint peeling from ceiling. Then to add to it the person that worked the front desk was not friendly and it seemed as if I was bothering him, when I came to him with my concerns. I expect a lot more from this hotel brand and price point.

Without a doubt, Olivier went out of his way to make sure we had extra towels, extra blankets, and pillows. Other staff members helped us find the best place to eat and the best route to Ft. Jackson. The maintenance staff was busy freshening up paint and the like while we were there. We were impressed to see the amount of cleaning taking place! It has been quite some time since we've stayed at a hotel where there was no edge accumulation of dust on floors and the halls and all the common areas were very clean, as was our room. The grounds outside were particularly beautiful. The property is very well-maintained and managed, which is a rarity these days. A huge thank you to everyone who made our stay so great!Rooms: The room was clean and well-maintained and the beds were extremely comfortable. We spent a very comfortable in ours.Walkability: There is a wonderful walking trail behind the property that takes in a small lake, lots of shady areas, lots of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery. Although we did not bring a dog, the hotel is very dog-friendly and the walking trail immediately behind the hotel played host to a number of dog travelers <3Noteworthy details: I just can't say enough about how wonderfully accommodating the staff was and how beautiful the location of the hotel is.
