After spending months searching for an answer to my dog’s skin issues I finally got a 2nd opinion at Griffin and my only regret is not doing it sooner. They took such incredible care of my pup, listened to my concerns, gave me helpful insight, and worked tirelessly to get to the bottom of her issue. My dog is also a pretty nervous girl, but not at Griffin—she LOVED the nurses and Dr. Griffin so much because they loved her and made her feel safe. Couldn’t be more grateful to this entire team. I will be bringing my 2 dogs and any future pets here and recommend the same for anyone else!

In my opinion, the best vet in town. I did have a dog that was at Banfield, however, I lost faith in them. My golden doodle now has some of the best care I could’ve asked for.

Dr. Griffin and her staff are truly amazing. My dog, Mister, has been going there for 10 years now - boarding, regular visits, and most recently a spleen removal. This was an absolutely terrifying time for me, but Dr. Griffin was incredibly calm and comforting, making it so much easier for me to manage. The surgery went perfectly, of course it did, it's Dr. Griffin - and they even sent me pictures throughout the day of him curled up sleeping in the recovery room until I could come pick him up! I refuse to take my dog anywhere else, and I hope Dr. Griffin knows and accepts the fact that she is never allowed to retire!

Dr. Griffin and her team are wonderful! They were very kind over the phone, fit us in last minute, and still took their time with our very shy pup. They made her very comfortable, gave her lot of treats, all the medications/tests she needed, and even a toy at the end. As a new patient, this was the best vet experience I’ve ever had. She gained a new client and I would highly recommended her to anyone!

This place is such a rip off! They charge 3x the amount that other local vets do for the same services. They are dishonest and always out to try to charge you extra for anything they can. The vet recommended that I schedule an appointment for an annual exam for both my dogs while they were there for a nail trim. I declined. The office made an appointment for me without my knowledge or consent. They then called to tell me I owed them $126 for no show fees for the appointment I never scheduled!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!! Save your money and go to an honest vet with more reasonable prices. I will never use this vets office again.

I've been going to Griffin Animal Hospital since 2010. There's no other place I would take my cats and dogs. Dr.G and staff are the best. They go above and beyond for their clients. Dr.G cares about the animals like they're her own. She has saved me from having to go to the emergency vet numerous times by working us into her schedule, even after hours. There's not many vets that do that. Griffin Animal Hospital is always clean and doesn't even smell like a vet clinic. Dr.G has high standards because she wants the best for every pet. She has a heart of gold. For those reviewers that complained about her attitude: ask yourself if it was because you got your feelings hurt because you can't handle someone telling you the truth in plain terms. If you want someone to make you feel warm&fuzzy hire a therapist. If your pet is suffering and you think its "just upselling" then, yeah, shes probably going to let you know how she feels. Owning pets is expensive.The place is busy because they try not to turn anyone away. The people at GAH are animal advocates and often what is best for the animal comes at a price. I get it: going to the vet can be expensive and stretch your budget. However, If your cat or dog is truly a member of your family and you want the best for them, then this is the place to go.

Dr. Griffin and the entire team are truly exceptional. You can tell how much she genuinely cares about every animal that she cares for. There is no other vet that I would trust my pups with!

Highly recommend Dr. Griffin! I have taken my dog to her for 8 years now. Four surgeries later and she has helped him so much! She truly cares about the animals and has followed up on things I haven’t even asked her to. The office staff has always been so wonderful and get messages to her in a timely manner. There aren’t many vet offices out there that have the vet themselves call you back about issues. I trust her fully with my babies!

Since 2017 I have been entrusting my animal family to Dr. Christine Griffin and her staff at Griffin Animal Hospital. Dr. Griffin's passion for animal welfare and doing what is best for the animal is evident from your first visit. All employees are outstanding in their roles as well as being friendly, funny, and genuinely interested in how you and your animal are doing. This is an independently owned animal hospital, and it shows. I am greeted by my name each time I arrive, only after my dog Poppie, or my cats, are first greeted with a heartwarming hello and rubs on the head! The front desk staff are a delight, the vet techs are highly skilled, and everyone has the best "bed side manners" when it comes to interacting with my babies! There is no such thing as staff turnover here. Most of the people I met in 2017 and still happily working here. Dr. Griffin and her team have walked me through the deaths of my beloved cat, Sky, and my first dog- Casi. They opened after hours and on weekends when my Casi was actively in her dying process because I was concerned that she was in pain. You have a true health partner in Dr. Griffin and her team. They also offer wonderful prescription food perks and deals on flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Words are inadequate to convey how rare it is to find an independent animal practice with world class care these days. My furry family and I would be lost without Dr. Griffin and her team!

I do not recommend this clinic for anyone who has a dog with anxiety or reactivity issues. During my first few visits for shots (which I should mention, I came in for and ended up having to reschedule because they got the timing wrong), Dr. Griffin would point at my dog and say “no” and immediately resorted to putting him in a muzzle. This was not helpful to his anxiety. As his anxiety worsened, I would call to try and get assistance and when she was unaware I was on the line, she picked up and was actively talking poorly about my dog and I.
I have now been going to Sunset Animal Clinic. Their vets are trained with how to work with anxious animals, and they charge half as much for medications.

Please try Griffin Animal Hospital. You will not be sorry. For 11 years Dr. Griffin and her wonderful staff have treated our furbabies with competence and compassion.
Treatment options and medications are fully and carefully explained.
We love them.

I wouldn't recommend this hospital. Christie Griffin seems rude. Her energy was a bit off. She'd ask me a question and whenever I'd answer, she'd quickly interrupt me. Appointment felt rushed and she just doesn't need to be in this profession if she doesn't have a welcoming energy towards visitors.
Side note: cats and dogs were freely roaming around the hospital. Seemed a bit odd to me. It was also a very stinky pet odor upon entering the hospital and all throughout. Two years ago, this wasn't happening. Not sure what has changed but I won't be visiting this hospital again. I'm sure there is a way better vet hospital in Columbia that is more deserving of my hard earned money.

I can’t emphasize enough how thankful I am for Dr. Griffin and her practice. We are fortunate enough to only visit once a year for annual check ups but they always make me feel so confident in the care my dogs are receiving. They are quick and efficient but take the time to answer any questions or concerns I may have. We have been patients for eight years and I have no doubt that as our dogs get older and may or may not run into some health issues, they will be in the best hands.
