My dog has been a patient at Four Paws for 7+ years with no issues but after today I won’t be taking him back. He was recently diagnosed with some stomach issues and as such has to be on a specific prescription food. I’ve previously picked up the food locally but realized yesterday I could order it through Chewy. Chewy informed me they would contact Four Paws to get the authorization for the food and then send it. Today I get an email from Chewy saying the vet has denied their request. Perplexed, I called Chewy (who has amazing customer service let me say) and they let me know they were unable to process my request and there was a note on my account to never contact Four Paws again. Apparently, according to this note, whoever they spoke to at Four Paws told them not to contact them again, that they would not give authorization for the food , and that if I wanted the food I could come by their office to get the prescription. I was stunned. We are talking about dog food here people, not controlled substances like opioids. When I told my husband he was not surprised. He’s picked up other meds for the dog there before and said he’s frequently experienced rude behavior from the front desk. I had not seen that behavior but now between what happened with Chewy and hearing my husband’s story I’m finished. I do not have time to deal with that sort of behavior. Will be switching to Shandonwoods as I’ve heard many positive things.

My cat went in with a urinary tract obstruction. The first red flag was communication. I was not called when they indicated they would. When they finally did it was after hours and could not return their call. My cat was released late on a Friday afternoon. The indication from the vet was that everything was okay. Normal follow up type stuff. I picked the cat up, and the staff did not provide me with his medical records and forgot to give me his meds. I had to go back in to get the meds. As it turns out, my cat had never eaten or drank the entire time he was there, and only urinated once, in 3 days, and he was released. Long story short, he never ate, and never drank once home, but his bladder was about to burst according to the emergency vet. We lost our cat, for what I believe is a complete failure by this clinic.

Four Paws is the ONLY Vet clinic I recommend to anyone I speak with. I met Dr. Wales in 2012, and since then, Dr. Warren and the ENTIRE team at Four Paws have provided the absolute best care for my French Mastiff Apollo (passed in 2021 at 10 years old), English Bulldog Brutus, and our rescue cat (aka pack leader). TEN STARS!! Highly recommend.

Took my baby in to get his ears checked out, the staff was friendly and quick service. They found a matte in both my dog’s ears and they removed them and got meds for him. Thank you so much

Hands down the best vets in Columbia…and the only place we trust our fur babies with. We have been with them for years and they are always so helpful, patient, and accommodating. They are not only great at the routine things, but helpful in discussing all options during the difficult times as well. We can’t recommend them enough!

I recently visited Four Paws Animal Clinic for my pet's medical needs, and I must say that my experience was a mixed bag. While the vet technician, Missy, deserves a heartfelt thank you for her understanding and excellent communication skills, I cannot overlook the negative experience I had with Ms. Tracy Wales.First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude towards Missy. She displayed a remarkable level of empathy and compassion throughout the entire process she took the time to listen attentively to my concerns and patiently explained every step of the examination. Her ability to communicate with pet owners, even in stressful situations, is truly commendable. Missy's professionalism and understanding made me feel at ease and reassured that my pet was in good hands.Unfortunately, Ms. Tracy Wales did not meet my expectations. Unlike Missy, Ms. Wales seemed devoid of any compassion or understanding. She failed to acknowledge my concerns and appeared disinterested throughout the examination. Her lack of empathy left me feeling frustrated and unheard, making an already stressful situation even worse. Additionally, Ms. Wales' unprofessional demeanor was disappointing, as she seemed more focused on rushing through the process rather than ensuring my pet received proper care.It is disheartening when a vet, who is supposed to prioritize the well-being of animals, fails to exhibit the necessary qualities that promote trust and confidence. I sincerely hope that Ms. Wales takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving her bedside manner and overall professionalism. In summary, my experience at Four Paws Animal Clinic was saved by the exceptional vet technician, Missy. Her understanding, communication skills, and genuine empathy were exemplary. However, my disappointment with Ms. Tracy Wales and her lack of compassion, understanding, and unprofessional behavior overshadowed the positive aspects of my visit. I hope to see improvements from Ms. Wales in the future, as the well-being of our beloved pets should always be prioritized.

Dr. Warren has been our vet for the past 30+ years. (She may not appreciate the mention of years, LOL), but it's been this way for a reason. Dr. Warren has seen and treated 10 of our dogs during this time frame. The staff's always kind and Dr. Warren's skill set and compassion are unparalleled. We truly appreciate how she's helped our family over the years. Below is Hopper, Mr Wiggles, and Hugo (all 3 are rescues).

I have always had excellent care for my pets at Four Paws. The staff is outstanding, professional and extremely kind and helpful. The vets we've seen over the years are uniformly excellent and I'm so very grateful for our primary vet Dr. Nori Warren. She has seen us through some very tough times with compassion, common sense and true caring. I can't imagine going anywhere else.
