My experience on April 16 at Store 15339 was a nightmare. I came in just for chips and drink, and immediately to the register. A woman walks behind the register and goes directly to the back of the office, after about 3 minutes she peeks out, then goes back to what she was doing. Talking to my husband on the phone I didn't give it much thought until about another 2 minutes had gone by, so I yell out "hello". The woman comes out and I say to her I am waiting to be checked out, she says "Yeah the cashier is in the back" Confused I asked her "well where is the Manager?" She said she was the manager. Shocked, I said to her, so you are the Manager and would have a customer wait 5 minutes before helping them? The Manager said in a nasty tone "I have a lot going on in the back, can you just give me your ID".
Her tone, behavior was completely unacceptable to me, I asked her for her name, and the contact information for her boss. She refused to provide the information, I was so taken aback by this manager. I will reserve the long story for management, but in the end she lied, accused me of cursing at her, refused to service me and asked me to leave.
I never had an experience like this in any establishment "ever", and felt so disrespected . I have been in management over 20 years, an upstanding figure in my community, there wasn't a doubt in my mind, this manager would have called the authorities if I didn't leave the store. She lied, turned herself into a victim, to justify her lack of professionalism, courtesy and complete mistreatment of her customer.
When I left the store, I searched the door for any management information I could find, and found a notice with the district managers phone number. I contacted the district manager almost immediately and explained the incident, he said he would contact me back the following day. I am still waiting on that return call.
I even reached out to Dollar General 800 to file a complaint, and still no call back. I will no longer patronize this location, and depending on how management handles this matter, I may not patronize any Dollar Generals, I don't spend my money at establishments to be disrespected, there are too many Walmart Stores to be dealing with that nonsense.

Store 15339: Worst experience EVER! I Went there today doing my normal couponing. Got to the register and it appeared that my card didnt take, so the cashier asked that i slide my card again, and i did and once again the machine malfunctioned. So i checked my account and sure enough i was charged twice. Once with the coupon total and once with a total before the coupons were added. So the cashier i could say was as nice as ever went to the back and got who i assume was the team lead, she comes out not really knowing whats going on or what to do, she calls the 'store manager' on the phone. This lady had an disgusting, and foul attitude from the start, like i was trying to mislead them. She asked the issue, the young lady tried but dont really know herself, so she gives me the phone. I say as calm as ever, hey ma'am, i was charged twice, no receipt came out nor did a decline slip, the store manager says ' oh well there's nothing we can do, i cant believe whats on your phone, it could be a pending transaction and we dont get paid', im like ok that's fair, but im looking at my phone where, its not pending the transaction has cleared. So i give the phone back to the young lady because there is no resolve talking to her. So i hear the young lady say, she said call the police. So i laugh, because im really in total disbelief that she wants to call the police on me and she is the one thats hostile. So then, the girl is like for what, and i ask to speak to the store manager on the phone again. By now the store manager is hollering and screaming on the phone. I asked her calmly why are you yelling and being nasty, she says cause she's off and we are calling her, so i ask, how is this my fault, and she screams st me, ill be there Monday at 8:30, bring a bank statement and we'll see what we can do. But i have to leave the stuff. Im like thats not going to work for me because ive paid twice and you are being rude, so she hung up on me. Smh. I then tell the young man, hit cash and see what happens. Sure enough, the receipt pops out and shows they do in fact owe me money... Moral of the story, that store managet needs to be FIRED for her attitude and disrespect. What happened to satisfying the customer and then threaten to call the police and she is the one beong nasty. Everybody is not meant to be in management and she is for sure one of those people! Do better DG

Need to hire stockers & not rely on the cashiers all the time. Too many items in boxes in the isles or on carts all over the store

This location needs improvement. There are always boxes and racks in the aisles. The store rarely opens on time. Take for instance, this morning, I witnessed several customers upset that it wasn't open. It was 8:08am and the sign clearly states it opens at 8:00am. This has happened on several occasions. This is most bothersome, especially if you just need to pick up something quick on your way to work or school. Major problem!
