Certain teachers shouldn’t be allowed to teach or work with children if their heart isn’t in it. My child is now traumatized to the point he didn’t want to go to school anymore and started wetting the bed despite being completely potty trained. I pulled him out.Edit: (Responding to Cadence)I am unable to reply directly to your message not sure why. I have reached out to your school directly in regard to this issue. Please check your email; I also spoke with someone at the facility. I use this account for reviews so my account doesn’t get flooded with spam or mixed in with important content/emails.

Not a big fan of Portia in the beginner's classroom. She doesn’t seem to like interacting with the parents which is odd being that we’re the reason she’s paid and that she cares for our children. She seems unhappy; like she has an attitude whenever I’m asking about my child’s day. With that being said, it changes the atmosphere of the center. Childcare facilities should replace workers like her. It doesn’t make sense to work in childcare with that attitude. Additionally, I’m not sure what curriculum they do. I’m never told about any learning activities which is also odd. It’s pretty much like I have no clue what goes on during my child’s day. Not a good feeling.Ms. Nicole isn’t friendly either. The director, Ms. Rachel is great. Anyways, the center is clean and the children seem safe.

Portia is amazing with the children. She is very tentative and interacts well with the children. She has a great rapport with families and great with updates to parents. Portia keep up the great work!!! You are definitely a true hero for kids at Cadence!! Thanks for all you do!

Our almost 2 year old has been attending Cadence 2x/wk for the past 10 months. It has mostly been a great experience. The teachers have all been wonderful, and it's a nice, clean facility with a good schedule for the kids. He has (as expected) been sick a lot since starting daycare, but with a suspicious amount of vomiting. My husband and I chalked it up to stomach bugs going around at daycare for a while, but with the frequency, we were getting concerned and wanting a referral to a gastroenterologist to see if something else was happening with him. A few weeks ago, I dropped him off at Cadence as they were serving breakfast and saw they had omelettes. Our son is VERY allergic to both eggs and nuts. I had to re-inform the teacher about his allergy as she offered him breakfast. He has also had a doctors note, Benadryl and an Epi-pen at this facility the entire time related to these food allergies. Concerned, I spoke with the administrator, Rachel Byrd, and asked their procedures to ensure kids with food allergies aren't provided with foods they shouldn't be eating. She informed me there is a list of kids with all of their allergens posted in each classroom that teachers are supposed to check before each meal. When I inquired about processed foods, she simply said the chef does a good job of not ordering foods with allergens. However, the assistant administrator then provided me with a menu for the next week, and as she checked their database with the menus/ingredients, we found THREE foods that contained egg. I then asked both administrators what their procedures were for notifying teachers which allergens are in each meal, to which I was told with jaws on ground of realization "we don't."I have obviously removed my child from this situation, and I feel incredibly guilty that we didn't look into the potential of this happening earlier. I thought a verbal notification, doctors note, and an epi pen were enough for a licensed daycare to understand to keep egg away from my child. I never in a million years would have thought we would have to babysit the babysitter to this extreme. What is the most concerning to me, is that after providing our two weeks notice and bringing him food from home during this time, the teachers have told me they have not been re-trained and there has been no changes related to their allergen procedures. So it appears administration is attempting to simply sweep this incredibly serious situation under the rug. Unless they have very quickly gotten rid of all of the food in their kitchen and only purchased allergen free food over the last 2 weeks, which I highly doubt. So I am posting this as a warning to other parents who either have kids at Cadence or are considering this daycare - if your child has food allergies, do not go to this place!! It could cost your child their health or even their life.

Do not send your kids here. They don’t care about your kids, only about your money. The curriculum that they advertise is non-existent…..it’s just a way to get your kids in the door for their financial gains. I had two kids attend the school for almost a year. During that time, the school had construction issues because of the age of the school that caused the kids to be out for a whole week. The parents had to pay for that week that the kids were out although the construction issues were not the kids’ fault. They also refused to return my deposit when I decided that I didn’t want my kids to attend for the next term. The term had not yet started, and although I payed the deposit in advance way before the term was going to begin, they will not give me my money back. The director Christi Maholtz do not respond to calls or emails from the parents regardless of how major the issue may be. Day care facilities that truly care about the kids and the parents are truly hard to find nowadays, but I can tell you from my first hand experience this one won’t be any better, especially for the amount of money that you will be paying.

I came there got a whole tour to get my daughter started. They didn’t have any openings for my 2 year old , the lady at the front desk asked me if I wanted to be added to the waiting list and that it was 100$ fee. The school hasn’t called 6 months later since I payed my money . No update on the waiting list, no call, no email. I had emailed the owner at the school about what had happened and no response from her. Very unprofessional and literally scammed out my 100$

I visited this location and it was very clean. The 4 year old teacher LaLa was delightful. But once I asked about the days I preferred (part time), I was told that only full time is offered. I let the lady in the front know that I was told part time was available and she only said “That’s the call center.” No apology or anything. I called back once I left and spoke to Rachel. She said that she would make sure that the word is passed along so every one is on the same page. Very disappointed and a complete waste of my time.

Scheduled a start date for my son to coincide with my wifes Army orders. Received a cryptic email in the afternoon, 2 days before his start date. Eventually got a hold of someone the day before he was due to start saying they had to push it back so we had to jump through hoops to get him in elsewhere. For cadence academy to get back the day her orders end to say they can get him in as of the next week. Asked for the enrollment fee returned as he will not be going there, told its non refundable even though no fault of our own. Not impressed with their communication at all.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Sarcastic and inconsiderate staff. Oh and please don’t link your account and routing number to your portal, they like to play with your hard earned money!

I set an appointment up to visit them with my 3 year old 2 weeks ago. The lady told me that the first opening is the first week of October, and that wouldn't change. Lo and behold... I get there, do the tour, just to be told there is no opening until the end of October. This must be a general practice with daycare, as I left a review about one previously with the same issue. This is extremely misleading Cadence Academy, and I do not appreciate the dishonesty.

The teachers at Cadence share their love of learning through fun games and activities with the children. The children truly look like they are having fun while learning colors and numbers and shapes. I have seen the teachers in the floor with the babies and the smiles are beautiful.
