This ia a HORRIBLE MOVING service!!!! If I could take a way the 1 star I would. I spoke to one of their phone operators who told me if anything happened within the next 72 hours I would get my deposit returned in full. I questioned him to make sure and he assured me that I would be refunded. I canceled the move within a 12 hour window. Amerisafe response: "You signed the contract and it says no refund within a 2 week period".
My move was scheduled within a 2 week period so I would have had no way to avoid the non refundable clause. The call center / employee of Amerisafe / whatever his title. should have said: "You are in the non refundable 2 week period already so make sure you ok with the NON REFUNABLE deposit."
Instead he said: "You have 72 hours to cancel for a full refund."
It was my fault because I BELIEVED WHAT HE TOLD ME!!!
I have been taught a lesson which is a pretty bad one...don't trust or believe what someone tells you as it may be a straight up LIE! Always read the contract with all print before you sign regardless of what the person tells you. Do not ever be rushed.
This is NOT A GOOD, HONEST company!
I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN!!!!!!

America's Moving Services provided me with outstanding service! Eric was incredibly kind and competent when he arranged up the transfer for me. My movers were Lester and Kyle, and like me, they were diligent, prompt, professional, and helpful. Their assistance made a potentially extremely stressful moving process seem effortless. Their effort is much appreciated. Moving ought to be done this way!

These guys are SCAMMERS!!! They come off as your buddies give you a quote only to have it doubled by the moving company they pick!!!! By the way they picked Arena movers who are the worst in the business!!When I called Amerisafe to help me with the moving company doubling the rates from $4000.00 to $9,000.00 for a 2 bedroom, they dropped the line 3 X . I had to keep calling and they could not do any thing they said. HORRIBLE!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!! DON'T USE THEM!!!

Obtained a moving quote from this company and opted to move myself. The representative was very rude and snarky about this decision and attempted to abrasively sway my decision by providing misinformation. Their prices were reasonable and I cannot speak to their services ... but customer service on the front end was very poor.

Full disclosure: I have not used this moving company's services (yet). I was just so impressed by AMS customer service I wanted to leave a review. Howard is a wealth of information, especially for someone like myself who has never done a long distance move. He clarified all my options, even those that didn't include his company's services. I came away from our conversation with solid information and great advice from an experienced professional in the business. Thanks again, Howard! We may be in touch depending on how things shake out with our intra-state/out-of-state move.

Many thanks to Howard and his team for their professionalism and care with moving a household of memories for our 89 year old mother, not once...but twice. It is difficult at times dealing with our aging parents, but Americas Moving, Columbia SC were very patient and understanding and put her at ease throughout the move. And, unlike many others these guys are always there when you call and happy to assist...can you imagine that! I highly recommend this team to move you and your loved ones! 4.5 stars. I have used AMS two times now for long distance moves and am about to use them again. Prices are the most reasonable for all the companies I have checked, especially for the services offered. When we moved we looked into all sorts of options, including U-Haul and PODS types of companies, and we found that America's Moving Services didn't cost that much more and included the loading and unloading.
Our belongings have been handled with care both times. The movers wrapped furniture very well and disassembled several tables (removed the legs) and wrapped each piece individually. Items have arrived in the same condition as they left our previous destination.
The even for my half-star deduction is that, for our first move, there were some communication problems related to the arrival of the moving truck on the front end of the move (I was only notified two hours prior to their arrival). The next time we used them I expressed my disappointment in this and experience no communication problems for the second move.
I highly recommend this company!

Have used AMS twice, once from Illinois to Ohio and then again a few years later from OH to IL. They contract out the movers so there's some luck-of-the-draw involved, but both moves were quite smooth and reasonably priced. However, Eric from AMS was excellent and the reason I will use AMS again. He coordinated everything, called me with status updates even after business hours, and I believe would have been a strong advocate if I had any major problems with the moves (which i didn't).

My experience with America's Moving Services was excellent! Eric set up the move for me, and he was very professional and accommodating. Lester and Kyle were my movers, and they too were also very, professional, accommodating, timely, and conscientious. They made what could have been a very stressful moving experience a breeze. I very much appreciate their effort. This is the way moving should be done!

I have received their services for my past 3 moves and haven't had any problems working with them. My apartment moves were long distance: Texas-to-Idaho; Idaho-to-New York; and New York-to-Texas. In the last move, they also helped with my car shipping.

Great experience with America's Movers at a great price. It would be helpful to have a more concrete moving schedule, but they fit our move into our preferred time lots. Would recommend them to anyone moving on a budget.
