NO BREAKFAST or snacks. Rooms vary tremendously, but cost does not vary. Not any options for ordering food or restaurants. We will stay elsewhere next time we are in town, which will be soon. Very pretty on the outside.

We have stayed at the 1425 Inn several times. It USED to be a Bed and Breakfast. In the morning there was a lovely hostess who served us coffee and made us breakfast. She made sure there were fresh snacks throughout the day and answered our questions and gave us advice on what to check out during our stay. There were lovely pieces of art from local artists on the walls and it felt very cozy and homey. Now it is under new management and all the art has been taken down and it feels stale and cold. We stayed Friday-Monday and the same bagels that were there on Friday were still there Sunday morning. No one picked up our dirty dishes the whole three days and the bed in the Vista room was so hard we got no sleep. We left Sunday night instead of Monday morning. It is no longer the cozy bed and breakfast it used to be. We didn’t see a single soul the whole time we were there. You check yourself in with a code and make your own coffee with a Keurig and have the same bagels for three days. Would not recommend.

The rooms and inn is very nice and it’s clean. That’s where the accolades end. I emailed prior to coming to ask about breakfast since I can’t have wheat, but never received a reply. It says in the synopsis, “complimentary breakfast” however that seems to consist of prepackaged boiled eggs in a little fridge and bagels, with a bowl containing a couple apples and bananas.A Kerurg with many cup options is available. Water is available in a dispenser. The morning of our visit I got a text giving me entry information which was appreciated. However no innkeeper is available on the property. If you’re just looking for a bed and shower, it’s clean however the shower in the Gervais room is tiny. If you’re looking for a bed and breakfast experience, try elsewhere, this isn’t it.

Wonderful location and a very cute and unique building. If you like history and vintage home. Such location is hard to find and the host Pam was very friendly and helpful for everything the minute we check in and answer all the questions we had. She made you feel like her home and you are the family came over visit. The room is very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable. Highly recommend if you are in the area visit.Nearby activities: Nearby downtown with all the restaurants, museums, and all the best Columbia has to offer.Safety: Right next to a bank and residential area.Noteworthy details: Vintage home charm, with Chandelier, tall stairs. Just beautiful!

Lovely inn, from the Persian rugs in the downstairs commons area to the beautifully remodeled bathrooms. The Capitol Room was spacious, and our bed was nicely appointed and comfortable. The owner was so very nice when we spoke on the phone. We look forward to staying at 1425 again.

The 1425 Inn scores well for the size of rooms, bathrooms (lovely towels) and the comfort of the bed. It is let down by two things; the "ghost ship" nature of the property and a very disappointing breakfast offering. For some people the keyless entry and invisible staff will be a boon but it is strange not to encounter anyone at all during a stay. No one to greet you or explain anything or offer local information. So that is either something you'll enjoy or not.But there seems to be no room for debate regarding a poor breakfast offering. I hope the owners read this and reflect on their breakfast provision because it really lets down what could be a good experience.

Everything was perfect, setting was great with the Victorian style feel. Everything was super clean and available for use. Strongly recommend it for couples.

The cutest inn I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. First time I've ever slept through my alarm because the bed was super comfy in the colonial. Also, phenomenal customer service. Wish I had the chance to take pics but the photos are on point anyway. Such a beautiful place to stay. Would totally recommend if you're in the area. It's in a small business district, so I totally felt safe on my own.

Where is the no star button? This was a sad excuse for an Inn. I dont know how it can even be considered an Inn? NOOO BREAKFAST! The snacks were stale cookies, muffins and apples that looked a month old. They were sitting out when we got there in the evening hours and still there come morning. They didn't have the currency to lay out fresh food. When we scanned the flier on the bedside table to buy food to be delivered it said the restaurant was closed permanently. There were other issues as well. As soon as we walked through the door it smelled old and of mold. We should have turned around right then. Also some kind of oil was spilled on one of the stands that we set our belongings on. When we spoke to the owners about a possible discount they disagreed, of course. Greedy. It was very disheartening for our family. I will say to all who are reading don't let this review scare you away from staying at another Inn somewhere else. They are not all like this one at all! They have friendly people to greet you and delicious home made breakfast. And they truly care about whether you enjoyed your stay or not.

My husband and I were recently blessed to have the opportunity to stay at The 1425 Inn for the first time. It was absolutely wonderful! Everything was perfectly clean and well- kept, with attention to detail. It was very peaceful, quiet, and elegant. The snacks that were left out in the common area really were a nice addition. Pam was a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating. I highly recommend The 1425 Inn!

This was the worst place I’ve ever had to stay at. This was also my first time staying at a bed and breakfast type place. I was visiting for business work trip and was assigned to stay at this inn. As soon as I arrived in my room to wash my face and hands, I noticed there was a dirty and brown stained wash cloth on the counter sink that had been folded up.I couldn’t even wash my face. After that I wanted to lay down in the bed and noticed a baby roach on the bed!!! I immediately tried to call the manager on duty and she never returned my calls. She eventually text me and didn’t apologize for this unfortunate circumstance. She was rude to me and said you don’t have to stay here if you don’t want too. Instead of apologizing to me as I have a high roach allergy. The manager also didn’t offer to spray the room or swap me out of the room.I traveled a far distance as I don’t live in Columbia. She was not available to speak to in person either. There was no staff on duty at the site of the inn when I checked in. I don’t care how many good reviews you’ve received from other guests on here. I’m an honest, respectful kind woman and refused to not hold my feelings in about hi I honestly felt about this place.Upon my arrival, I expected a clean room and roach free. This room was nasty and very disappointing!! What kind of business is being run here? I will never go here again. I thank God that the money didn’t come out of my pocket. If you have a roach allergy DO NOT STAY HERE!!! -The Jackson Suite.

Before I arrived I received a text that my room was “upgraded.” When I arrived, it turned out I was given a room without a bath tub- I had specifically booked my room because of the tub, so I texted the innkeeper, who offered to have the cleaning staff come in and clean out another room. It was already around 8pm on a Friday night at that point and a storm was brewing, so I declined out of concern for the cleaning staff. I think it was odd and unprofessional that an inn would have dirty rooms around the time that guests would normally be checking in.The inn keeper was not present when I arrived. There was a lovely array of complementary drinks and cookies, but it would have been nice if the inn keeper were there to answer my questions as it was my first time in Columbia.I was not able to watch the TV. There were two remote controls but no instructions in the room on how to work them! I tried my best to no avail. Since the innkeeper was not present, no one was available to assist.I noticed gnats flying around my room. At first I thought nothing of it- maybe I brought them in when I opened the door. But then when I turned down my bed to go to sleep, I noticed TWO dead gnats under the covers!! When I notified the innkeeper about it, she apologized but did not offer to give me a discount or any complementary service as a courtesy.Overall, the management of this inn is very unprofessional. Basic services one would expect like the TV and clean sheets were not provided. I do not recommend this inn and will not be returning.

Historic home in great condition. Clean and organized with drinks and snacks available. Rooms include a bed, TV, night stand, bathroom and closet. Felt historic with a hint on modern. Everything is done through codes. No staff on location but Pam was quick to respond and explain check in step by step. Areas to relax and talk, read or scroll your phone. Quiet and clean. Parking is extremely convenient and safe. It is a long walk to almost everything. Need to drive but that was not a problem. Breakfast voucher to Main Course downtown for breakfast buffet. So good. This is worth the stay in Columbia. Rooms for around $200 with fees and taxes. Worth it!
