I have been using their tax services for over 5 years and have always filed electronically. They decided this year without any communication or consent by me to check the box on receiving a paper check vs direct deposit. When I called them the next day and informed them of their mistake they did nothing to correct their mistake. Service has declined every year over the past 5 years. I will be taking my business to a place that provides better service and communication.

I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful this place is! We have been to many places and the last CPA I had ruined my taxes so bad and these beautiful people took the time to fix it ALL. I must say I was a little hesitant to trust anyone again with my taxes after what my other CPA put my family through, including not being able to contact her for any reason, especially after not receiving a tax return. After filing with the owner who did our taxes, she don’t just file one tax return, she had to fix the other one that my CPA messed up. In the middle of the year when all tax reps are usually back to work and doing other things, I called to ask a question about why we owed the irs some money after getting a return. The owner took the time to explain everything, and I was even surprised that she answered the phone much less help me figure it all out. Turns out all that she explained was on my original paperwork and this is when I got to find out how thorough and legit her company and staff are at handling my families taxes. I live an hour and a half away, and refuse to go anywhere else! This year I look forward to having my taxes done, knowing I can trust and rely on people who care. They are not a title, they are people, and they will do everything right to make sure you are secure and have your taxes done right!!

PURE NEGLIGENCE!!! Gave them my taxes in March. They forgot to file on the due date so when I called for the paperwork that day, they stated they would file the extension. They never did. They charged me 380 for taxes they didn't do. I got fined by the IRS and forwarded them the 90 dollar fee they did not pay. Lynn is the one who was supposed to handle my taxes and as the lead at this place I assumed I was in good hands, but they are incompetant.

I have never used this company's services; however, I prepared my neighbor's taxes this year and the paperwork provided to me from the previous year was less than minimal. They didn't provide my neighbor a copy of their taxes nor did they inform them they needed to pay estimated taxes for 2022. This has caused them unnecessary penalties and interest and even more a hefty payout that wasn't anticipated. The company was late in submitting their 2021 taxes AND made huge mistakes on their return. I would highly encourage people to look elsewhere for their tax needs. Saddest part is this return is too simple to be making the mistakes they made.

I dont do these reviews very much but I think people should know about this. This was my second year using Lynn. I had no problems for my 2020 filing, but my 2021 filing has been a nightmare. I received A letter from IRS saying I owned 10Gs and I call Lynn and took it out there in late June. She wrote a response, and we mailed it in. Later I received a letter again saying they reviewed my return, and I still owed that amount. I went back out there again with that letter and she said she would have to call them. It’s now November and after me calling and leaving messages about her contacting them to find out what was the problem because she said it was on their side, she has still not fixed the Issued. She has had one excuse after another of why she hasn’t gotten in touch with the IRS I finally called. Guess who made the mistake on my return! It’s a shame you pay someone for a service, and they can’t even look over their own work to see their mistake. If the program she uses doesn’t tell her something is wrong, she can’t figure it out. She entered the same income in two different places which doubled my income. I would not recommend using them especially Lynn very unprofessional and will not return calls.

My wife and I have used Lake Wyle Tax since 2009 and have been extremely pleased with their services. Even though we've had different staff to prepare our taxes it has always been a pleasant experience. Lynn and her staff are professional while being extremely approachable and don't mind my bunch of questions. Lynn has walked me through tax questions and scenarios multiple times. Most recently Lynn shared with me the 2018 Tax Year Estimator which has been an AWESOME tool that she offers and has given me the ability to estimate my tax obligation. Thank you Lynn & Team

Be careful when choosing this service ! I had an error on my tax return that was caught by the SC IRS. The error ended up costing me money, you would think preparer of the return would stand by their work, especially after admitting she made a mistake. I would not use this service ever again !
