My pets have been seeing Dr. Werfal and the amazing staff at Bethel for 14 years. Through thick & thin, they have always been there and done a tremendous job. Actions often speak louder than words: I moved from the area 3 years ago, but my pets and I still make the trip to Lake Wylie for their Vet care!

We have had several vets over the years and recently found Total Bond & Dr. Ellis when we adopted our latest edition, Duke. This is BY FAR the best experience I have EVER had with a Veterinary Office. I have been raving to anyone who will listen about the Puppy Wellness Package ever since we started - definitely an innovative & affordable approach to total puppy care!

We have been going to Total Bond at Bethel for many years - first with out Golden Retriever, Maggie, and now with our rescue Border Collie/Australian Shepherd, Cara. We have the most experience with Dr. Werfal, but have had the opportunity to see Dr. Ellis as well. They are both outstanding vets and truly care about their patients and the patients' families. We've had only very positive experiences with both doctors and recommend them very highly. I wouldn't trust my precious dogs to just anyone, but trust and respect the expertise and compassion of Drs. Werfal and Ellis explicitly and I wouldn't take our dogs anywhere else.

Every experience we have had has been awesome you always show concern, compassion not only to our pets but to us too!! We had to put our cat JJ to sleep which was so devastating to us but with your compassion it truly consoled us with this decision. Both our dogs Daiquiri & Akia are always in good hands when we bring them in for normal visits or emergencies we feel all the Dr.'s are wonderful & the staff is great too..THANKS for all you do!!

We've taken our dog to Total Bond/Bethel since she was a puppy - she's 5 years old now. Dr. Werfal is our favorite Vet on staff and she treats our baby just like she was her own. The rest of the staff there are very courteous and caring...I can't say enough great things about them!

We have taken our pets to Dr Werfal for over 13 yrs. No matter whether it is a wellness visit or an emergency, the same caring and loving way our pets are cared for is the same. We have also had occassion that required our beloved Golden Retriever to need hospital care at a facility that had 24 hr care, and she was instrumental in seeing that we had all the information on his progress, even calling me at home on a Sunday evening with her advice. We have a new puppy that will be going tomorrow for his first of many visits and look forward to many healthy years at Total Bond with Dr. Werfal.

We've taken our English Bulldog, Slugger, since 2009. We've been through it all with a Bulldog-all the typical breed specific health risks! He's had many allergies (mostly food/skin/contact), and Dr. Werfal and Dr. Ellis have always been able to provide exemplar care by helping us pinpoint potential allergens as well as provide an array of treatment options. Additionally Slugger tore his ACL (I thought that was only a sports related injury, hah), and they were able to explain treatment options and recommend local surgeons. While he did not have his ACL or airway surgeries at this clinic (couldn't because they aren't overnight), they were able to walk us through the process and point us in the right directions. They have always provided extensive treatment information and never pushed us into anything we weren't comfortable with. We have also used the facility to board Slugger while on vacation. When Slugger was a pup, I had to call often, as we were still attempting to manage allergies and dietary restrictions. The staff (desk and techs) are always friendly and knowledgeable. Even so, Slugger loves to go because he knows he gets attention from everyone inside! We don't even live in Lake Wylie, but still make the drive because we're satisfied with the care.

Dr. Werfel saved my cat's life. No exaggeration, just the truth. His affliction is very much out-of-the-ordinary, but Dr. Werfel diagnosed it, medicated him and he is now 15 years old and very healthy for an old tom cat. Even though I've moved out of the area, I wouldn't dream of taking Tom to anyone but Dr. Werfel.

We take all 5 of our dogs to Total Bond and have them enrolled in their monthly service plan. The service and care are outstanding. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely, hands down, the most comprehensive and caring veterinary office in York County and South Mecklenburg. We have taken our pets to Totalbond @ Bethel since 2004 when we moved to the area. All our pets are on their wellness plans, which makes keeping them up-to-date on vaccines and check-ups easy to remember and affordable. We also board our dogs with them pretty regularly. The doctors are amazing, the staff is amazing, and I trust my pets' health and well-being with them 110%. I know that one day we will be moving away from Lake Wylie, and I know that I will be very very hard-pressed to find another veterinary office I trust half as much. We became acquainted with Total Bond on three separate occasions, each experience were traumatic events with our animals. The staff was always personable, professional and demonstrated empathy during each crisis. I want to give special thanks to Dr. Smith - he was instrumental in educating us and providing professional advice. Our feline that we had for 17 years (CatMan) passed away last month. We received a card from the staff within a week of his passing. That simple gesture from them solidified my opinion of their dignity and compassion. Thank you for all you do!

We have been taking our dogs to Total Bond since we got them. Rye-Lee is 5 & Bran-Dee is 4. Dr. Ellis is awesome and truly cares about our dogs and their health. When we go (no matter how busy it may be) our dogs get his undivided attention. Rye-Lee has had a lot of skin allergies and Dr. Ellis worked diligently to find out what would work best for Rye-Lee. We found a great solution and all is well there. We get our medicines from their pharmacy and get their yearly shots. When we tell our dogs they are going to go see Dr. Ellis, their tails go crazy!! That tells you what kind of Veterinarian he is. Also, on a few occasions when Dr. Ellis was not available, we saw Dr. Werfal and she was very nice and just as concerned about our dogs issue even though she did not see them that much. All the employees there are friendly and always smiling. Great place, great people!! Very highly recommend Total Bond Bethel!!!

The people and service here are great. They've always been prompt and we've never had a bad or even so so experience. I've been a customer here for at least 8 years with first a cat and then a dog.

We were new to the area and our 12-year-old Bichon got a massive tooth infection. Dr. Ellis and the staff at Total Bond were fantastic and very cost effective. The care and concern they showed for both our dog and our family were unparalleled in our vet history. We highly recommend them.
