I love going here cause there are trails to walk on. If u have nothing to do it's good to go here and walk the mile trail also good for a good workout. They have a gift shop to buy cool stuff also kids love it cause they have toys for kids to enjoy. Little pricey but for a good cause . The money goes to the park. The rangers are very professional and courteous. They have a picnic area with benches and restrooms are available. Also the history behind this park. Years ago it was a battleground when the brittish tried to invade south Carolina. It's a very Kool place to visit. Even a waterfall you gotta see.i always have fun here.they also have special events in May like reenactments very kool.Restrooms: Always very clean.Dog-friendliness: Must pick up after your dog. They are very strict you will get in trouble by the rangers if you don't pick up your dog poop.Picnic area: Benches to eat on very nice for a day out.

Love this park. Out of the way and off the beaten path, with beautiful grounds along the river. Knowledgeable staff who are super friendly and offer a great gift shop and visitor center.Trails vary from easy to medium, and there are restrooms available.Restrooms: Clean!!

Nice interpretive center, very friendly rangers & staff. The hiking trails are cute and quaint, I would recommend the 1.5 mile trail with the waterfall on it. Be aware that you leave the visitor's center, go back to the main road, and turn sharply left after a few minutes to get to this trail. Then park before the bridge and the hiking trail starts across the road from the parking lot. Both trails are easy.Restrooms: Inside interpretive center

Nice walking trail and small museum to explain the battle. The mill was washed away by a flood, long ago, so there is not too much to see. Worth a hour of time if you are in the area.

This is an excellent, beautiful state park. It has little funding and isn't very commonly visited, but it's a hidden treasure. The pond by the British Camp Trail is large and someone was fishing in it, which is allowed. Apparently you can catch some good fish in there. We also saw a little turtle basking in the sun in some hay. The river that the trail runs along is also pretty scenic and the trail provides good views. After we finished the trail, we drove to the other side of the state park. We were heading to Croft after this, so we just wanted to see the waterfall and then head out. The waterfall is a very short, effortless walk and it's beautiful. It's also a wonderful swimming area as the water is clean. Many people were there in the water. I would recommend this park for anyone.

Laurens county only state park this hidden gem ? doesn’t get all the attention or love other state parks get in the upstate region but you have everything here, nature and history combine to create something magical and unique the birth of this wonderfulCountry ?? and the preservation of this historical site, the rangers on duty were super friendly and help us with the Junior Ranger program for the SC state parks gave us a badge and get got our ultimate outside stamp as well, after hiking the loop trail we drove to Horseshoe falls and refresh ourselves in the cold Enoree river water.Restrooms: Really new and friendly restrooms equipped with baby changing stationsDog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed inside the visitor center and everywhere in the park always leashed off coursePicnic area: They have a picnic area near the British camp trail and vending machines.
