Update: Shortly after I posted this review, Mallory reached out to me as seen below. I gave her a call and she listened carefully to the details of my concerns. She put me in touch with Gary Wertz who resolved all of the issues I was experiencing in a matter of minutes. He also took an interest in getting feedback to improve their business. I am really impressed with their drive to fix customer concerns. While I wish I hadn't had to resort to a negative online review to get the assistance I needed, these two really came through! I am pleased to continue to be a customer at Security Federal Bank. I would encourage anyone who has concerns about their banking experience to escalate these concerns upwards- there are people at this bank who care and will help.Original Post: I am only giving this branch 1 star because 0 is not an option. This used to be a great bank, but now they will use any opportunity available to add fees to your account and make it difficult to utilize their services then blame you for the issues. I already switched to primarily using online banking a few years ago due to significantly better internet rates and only maintained a local bank for convenience. However, the atrocious customer service I have received recently from this bank has demonstrated it's not worth it. My advice is to take your money elsewhere!

They do not value their customers. They only greet certain customers and they don’t like to put your money in your hand they prefer for you to just pick it up off the counter. Which is rude being that initially everything was handed to the teller in their hand. Poor customer service. I only go there because it’s the nearest one.
