Don't care for Walgreens. Always a long wait time

I was in Charleston working and staying at a local hotel. I became very sick with bronchitis and needed to get four prescriptions I wanted to just go back to my hotel room and rest for a day or two and the Walgreens clerk initially said that it would be 45 minutes to get them filled.I felt so ill I didn’t feel like I could wait that long. But I decided to ask the pharmacist if there was anything I could take with me back to the hotel for over the counter so that I could try to get back out in the morning to pick them up the prescriptions. The pharmacist, MORGAN, was so incredibly caring and helpful. She said she would fill my prescriptions as soon as possible so I did not have to come back out the next morning to pick them up. This was so helpful because being from out of town on a work trip there was no one that could run back out for me in the morning. MORGAN got them ready within about 10 minutes. I’m so thankful to her. She’s such a caring healthcare worker. I am very grateful to her

The insurance system has been going in and out all day. This is code for " we have to many scripts in the que " so every prescription received after 4 pm will get filled the next day.

Horrible customer service. Lost our appointment for a second time and said it’s not their problem. Online scheduling has nothing to do with them and refused to honor our appointments we had email verification of.

I wanted to take a second and write about my experience at this Walgreens. My mom has an HSA card and the rules and products you can get are always changing. We showed up at the counter to purchase several items with her card. Every single item was labeled as OTC. When the cashier scanned everything the card would only pay for half of the products. I wish I would have taken note of the employees name because she showed up to help. She took her time with us and scanned the items in groups to try and figure out which ones the card would pay for. She went above and beyond her job and did it with a great attitude. We went to a CVS yesterday and had the same trouble but that employee was not willing to help with the situation. She looked like she didn't even want to check us out.

I'm not a frequent shopper. I find the prices to be a bit high compared to other stores. Because of it's convenient location, I do stop in if I need to grab one or two things. This store is organized and the shelves are always stocked. There are rarely associates on the floor but I never need assistance. The associates at the registers aren't usually friendly or that welcoming. I use the Walgreens app to order pictures. The prints are usually ready for pick up within an hour. The app usually has a 15% to 20% discount on prints, which is a plus.

I can’t talk for the whole store but the pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous!!!! Every person that I have dealt with has the biggest attitude including the pharmacist. The put you on hold and cut you off when you are trying to talk. THEY ARE JUST PLAIN RUDE

Walgreen’s at the corner of Ashley River Rd (SC Hwy 61) and Savage Rd west of the Ashley in Charleston has a great selection of products at reasonable prices. The store is always well-stocked, clean and neatly organized and employees are all very helpful and courteous.

I use this pharmacy regularly and typically have a good experience. I lost my insurance recently and they were able to hook me up with a coupon to cut down the out of pocket costs for the medication, which I really appreciated. The only thing that cuts down a star is the wait time-both inside and the drive thru are always very busy. The employees are usually all working hard, so maybe they just need more staff. The store itself is exactly what you would expect from a Walgreens- convenient with a decent selection of food, toiletries, and medical items with a little bit of a high price point. The store is usually clean and well stocked with polite and helpful employees.

Walgreen’s at the corner of Ashley River Rd & Savage Rd always has a great selection of Hallmark greeting cards at very reasonable prices. Since the Hallmark stores west of the Ashley closed its my go to place for cards!

Consistently the worst and slowest drive thru I have ever used. I wait no less than 10 minutes every time I come. Wishing there was a pharmacy closer to my house

I'm so grateful to have such a well stocked, clean and convenient pharmacy close by. All of the employees are helpful and the pharmacist takes time to answer any questions I may have. Our family only uses Walgreens. The bonus is that it is American owned!
