The lady….the only lady that appears to work here is absolutely rude to every single customer. It is worse than the DMV.

Wow…. Amazing inside. I think they are only open from 12:30pm to about 2:15 a few days a week….so check first. But nice postal folks here. Also, fresh-caught fish is appreciated (the office staff know what I mean).

The Charleston US Post Office on Broad Street is always helpful on getting what I need to be mailed out and mailed. They are good at quickly getting the right postage and envelopes and offer helpful suggestions. Very efficient post office that knows how to get the job done. It is one of my favorite post offices and has a beautiful and historic interior.

We were on vacation in Charleston and picked up some gifts for a family member. We decided to mail them to her rather than carry them back on the plane. We were on Meeting Street so decided to use this post office despite the only Yelp review posted. We were so glad we did. This post office is housed in an incredibly beautiful building: it's a temple to the US Postal Service. The woman working at the window was so friendly and helpful: she made the experience a really positive one. She changed a rather mundane task into a really nice story for us.

I've never had anything but outstanding and personalized service at this branch. I've never had more than two people ahead of me. The hours are short because it receives so little traffic, but it is my go-to USPS facility.

In a historical building, also has a post office museum. Quite interested to see the inside! Their hours are pretty short (don't know why). I needed to send a small package to Germany, and USPS had he cheapest price (although still quite expensive...) compared to Fedx and USPS. If you need longer hours, there's another post office on E Bay st. You can check out.

Granted that no one is ever blown away by their experience at a USPS office, this one is particularly lackluster. On weekdays they don't open until 11:30 and close at 3:30 so it's pretty much impossible to send a package if you work during the day. I have never seen all of the counters open at the same time; it is usually just one poor employee fighting with an archaic computer system and struggling with a long line of people. This post office is redeemed by the beauty of the building's interior and the small "History of the Post" museum contained within.

I recently saw a story on the news about about post office closings in Charleston, I felt sorry for the EE's until I tried to get stamps today a few minutes b/f closing time!! Extremely Rude EE sent me away and told me to come back tomorrow.

Apparently the Charleston Post Office is famous, nay infamous. They lost the package I sent by priority mail, (!!!) and my client is quite distraught. He told me they stopped using them for shipments because of a history of problems they had with them. Next time, Fedex. or another reliable service.
