Do not go in here !! Complete scam ! Awful owner, tried to sell us false pieces, I never leave reviews but I had to warn future customers. The woman was so unwelcoming and not accommodating, told most customers they had to learn manners to come into her store. Absolute disgusting behavior.

I am sorry to hear from most of you who had a rude and unwelcome experience here,,, I think it's a beautiful treasure cove of pretty little things ,get past the owner's unwelcoming personality and just enjoy the beautiful antiques ,there are plenty of antique shops in Charleston that are happy to share there treasures and we all should be more kind and helpful in these times ,take it in for what it is antiques and sorry to hear that most of you had a bad experience, move on go to all the shops we in Charleston should be kind to our tourist and visitors, it's still a beautiful shop.

My experience with Tucker Payne was quite different. I had an item I was interested in selling. I left two phone messages which were not returned so went to the store. The owner was not there but the woman I spoke to remembered my calls. She did not apologize or say why she didn't return the calls. She looked at my pictures and said to email them to the owner. Again, no response. Obviously he wasn't interested in the antique but a response would have been far more professional

Tucker Payne Antiques is a really good antique store in Charleston on King Street. I really like their eclectic collection of different antiques on display as there is a real variety of different items that are available for purchase. There are several items that I wanted to have be a part of my house and furnishings. I like the atmosphere and vibe of this store as you can feel a connection with the antiques on display here and get a sense of some of the history of Charleston. The staff here was helpful in answering questions and providing information on different antiques. I enjoyed my visit to this store and look forward to returning again to make some purchases to complete my collections and get some gifts for others.
