I went in because I live near by and they had cool porcelain oysters, I started to look at them with my roommates and they started staring and following us around the store. After we looked at things they checked to see if we took anything. Art work was cool but $850 for a small turtle is outrageous.

If I could give this place negative stars I would! My friends and I were just walking around Charleston and walked upon this store. Frankly, we just went in because it was hot outside and wanted to cool off. The ladies working there are extremely unfriendly and followed me and my friends around like we were trying to steal there overpriced tacky items. We even heard them say "I hate tourists". The demons of hell are a thousand times nicer than the women working there.

Went in to shop for Christmas gifts. While I was there I asked if they had a ladies room as I had been walking around downtown. The saleswoman said "oh no, not for the public." So much for Southern hospitality.

I was very dissatisfied with the service at this store. I just happened to be walking around The French Quarter district downtown and decided to pop in. From someone who deals in antiques and vintage decor, I noticed that the items offered were limitied to high-end porcelain, fine bone China, linens, and gifts. The prices seemed to be quite high. I realize these are high-end products but you can find better prices for the same products elsewhere. With that said, I really was turned off by the customer service. I was constantly watched by the staff as if I was going to steal something. With this store being South of Broad they truly were living up to that better-than-you attitude.

My friend and I were walking down Broad Street in downtown Charleston on Sunday morning (playing tourist in the hometown we've lived now for almost 30 years), and we happened upon The Boutique. From the exterior, it appeared to be a cute shop that may house potential presents for the upcoming holidays. We stopped in, and we were NOT pleasantly surprised. Although there were some items that could be purchased as gifts, the majority of them were overpriced and irrelevant for people of our demographic (young, modern, not extremely wealthy professionals). If you're looking for high end, porcelain figurines, fine bone China, or linens, you might find something here that you would like. But make sure you wear your best and have dressed the part, because as we stumbled into the store, we quickly realized we were not the clientele the store employees were looking for. We were hardly greeted by any of the women working and our every move was closely monitored as we walked through the store. Quite frankly, it was odd, and this is the primary the purpose of the current review. As we walked out of the store, my friend said, "Have a good day!" and the woman literally said, "Okay" with literally zero inflection or even fake southern charm. Those were essentially the only words spoken to us the entire time we were there (~7 minutes). I won't be returning, but I do hope others have better luck. The store has potential should the demeanors of employees improve.

The greatest shop for gifts as well as for running into friends. Grand place for wedding gifts and temptations of all description - jewelry, accessories, coffee table books, the most delicious nightgowns, bedding, and all manner of fine things for one's home. All in an elegant and inviting venue.

This is a beautiful boutique Downtown Charleston that is a must stop when you're on Broad Street. The items in the store are absolutely impeccable and you will not find them everywhere you go. The staff is very attentive, friendly and oh so Charleston! You must stop in and feel the true Southern Charleston hospitality that they offer here.
