Adorable little location on King St. Used to be a Forever 21, but they changed it to a target! Clean and they have all the road trip essentials.

No public restrooms. I left and refused to purchase anything. Be honest and post if no restrooms. Most Targets offer them.

Tiny Target is a regular go-to spot for me since I work downtown. While it is not a full Target store with a large selection, it fits the bill for a decent amount of quick grab items. If I need a few grocery items for home, kid's gifts, teacher gifts, wine, coffee creamer, etc. this is a fantastic place to grab what you need quickly. I also appreciate the holiday section they maintain. I also occasionally grab the pre-made salads or frozen entrees for a quick lunch when I am limited on time. It is mostly self check-out only, which is fine. And I'll agree with the others that the employees here are less than helpful, but the store is clean and well-stocked. People complaining about the bathrooms is interesting to me -- go to Charleston Place across the street. Although truly, it is not Target's responsibility to provide public restrooms. Other stores on King Street do not provide this either.

My 74 year old mom was shopping for her vacation stay, and needed to use the bathroom. She was told there are no bathrooms for the public! What?!?

This is an interesting Target right on King Street in an older building. It reminds me of the urban two-story Target from Seattle. It's always interesting to see these inner-city Targets with no parking since I consider it such a drive-up, park, and bring our your lamps and such store... Anyway, we needed various things as we're on a 9-day road trip so we were happy to see this store while roaming around shopping one night. We stopped in and got some sundries and snacks to get us through and did an easy self-checkout. The cold and boxed food section is small, but has most of the basics and favorites you're probably looking for, after all, this isn't a Super Target. Convenient if you're staying in the heart of town.

It truly is amazing that this former clothing store is now what seems to be a full Target on lower King Street but without all of the clothing at other Target stores. The food selection is not so much in the refrigerated or frozen set but the shelf stable food is there. Lots and lots of household items for sale too, of course. Throw in some pretty good wine selections and this store shows that it is ready for the downtown folks as well as the College of Charleston students. As you enter, there is a gentleman at the Security (per the sign) station. Always good to have that. A number of checkouts with essentially no waiting. Friendly and efficient marks this somewhat unusual store.

Great employees, good sales. The good and gather brand is very competitive. And this place is very convenient for Downtown folks.

I am only writing a review because I feel like this is the only way Target will see this, because if you call it is outsourced to another country. I went to CHS King St. Target on November 11 at 10:51. I bought three items and I was charged for 5 items, adding $50 to my total. The counter is really small, so there weren't other items on the counter. She could not have scanned Pampers $30.99 in front of me and me not notice. So there must have been items already in the computer maybe? Or it was done intentionally. Not sure. India gave me a store credit- told me it takes two or three days. I'm really peeved about this because I want my money back, not go spend more money at Target. In the age of computers, I am really baffled how additional items were rung up. Please Target, watch the video of me at checkout, I have pink hair. Easy to spot. I would have never written this review, if I had an email address. I also tried to call the store 5 different times, no success, the only success was talking to the pharmacy which was a CVS in Target. Every dept. number I pressed, it would ring a couple of times and hang up. I really expected more from Target.

This is one of the worst targets ever. Today I bought several large items, only to get to checkout and find they had no medium to large bags. I left the items in my cart as I was just going to place them in my car, in the adjoining garage...come to find out the carts lock at the door of the store. While trying to figure out what to do I was accosted by an employee who did not introduce herself. She then began pulling my cart inside the store with no warning or acknowledgement. I asked her to please stop taking my cart and things and she got rude with me, I then asked her if she had a solution or some bags for my things. She walked away. How do you not have bags? And how do you not allow for carts to go to the adjoining garage?!!!!! The employee also did not introduce herself so for all I know it could have been someone trying to steal my things in my cart.

The pharmacy here is consistently lovely, and I always receive excellent customer service. But the rest of the store is hot and cold -- some mornings employees are chipper and yelling you good morning, others (like today) the checkout lady rolled her eyes at me when I said good morning and that I liked her glasses, and acted like it was a complete inconvenience to need to buy a single item on one credit card, and a second item on another. Maybe these folks are just underpaid and overwhelmed-- either way, it's not a fun shopping experience to never know how you will be treated.

Today we went to get items for my nephews dorm. It seemed everyone else had that idea because they were out of stock on many items. I became a bit frustrated when Karsyn ( a store employee) came and asked if we needed help. She assisted us picking out the perfect futon and helped us navigate the store so we did not feel the crowd. She saw I was getting stress and said "we have all been there" with a reassuring smile and actually helped! There are so many stores today that have employees that are either unavailable or just don't care. I applaud this Target for hiring this dedicated employee and friendly staff. Thank you Karsyn for saving the day! Thank you King Street Target for hiring a great team!

We came in to target around 8pm Saturday night. We got an entire cart load of stuff and got out of the check out line because they didn't have any BAGS....?? The clerk suggested we buy some for $5/piece. Sort of ridiculous for a large chain store. Not to mention - limited selection and no bathroom.

Awesome new Target on the corner of King Street and Market Street in Downtown Charleston. Convenient parking in connected garage.
