I come here to make deposits for my business and every time I use the drive thru it’s an excessive wait time. I understand that it gets busy, but the right thing to do is acknowledge the customer and let them know you’ll be with them shortly. Today I sat at the drive thru for 12mins before the empty container came back. I was never greeted or told that they were making my deposits. I then went inside and the guy in the burgundy shirt has my deposits processing them. I asked what happened, he asked “is this yours?” Please teach your employees customer service skills, especially when businesses entrust you to handle millions of dollars.Regards,A very unhappy customer

Worst bank software, both web based and mobile, EVER. Nothing but problems with logins from day one. A couple of months after moving to Synovus, we started getting automated phone calls at around ten pm saying "there was just an unauthorized attempt to log in to your account".I immediately called in to the bank, but they were closed until the morning. The next morning, after calling in and spending half an hour holding, I was told "there were no login attempts on your account last night, sir". After the third time this happened in a week, I went into the local branch and sat down with two officers for OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF WHILE ON THE PHONE WITH THEIR SUPPORT PEOPLE, who insisted there were no login attempts at the dates and times I said. However, there they were on my call history screen! That problem stopped, but every time I tried to use the mobile app to deposit a check it was a crap shoot. Unable to deposit a big check from a customer today, Friday. It's pouring rain, so I'll have to wait until Monday and waste 45 minutes of my time going into town. Avoid this circus at all costs.

This has got to be one of the most worthless banks in the Nation. The general culture at Synovus is lazy and difficult. They act nice but getting anything done is impossible. No one follows up and their technology is terrible. Good luck with online banking as it locks you out constantly. Tried recently to get a POA (which was crafted by a lawyer and used successfully at another bank) so I could manage a sick family member’s account. They wouldn’t approve our legitimate POA and told me that when I get straight to get back to them. The family member is on a ventilator in ICU. i told them this when I presented it. I found such a list of conditions and commentary to be insulting and typical of this awful bank and it’s multiple locations for which I’ve had similar difficult and cavalier attitudes.

Horrible customer service. ATM ate card. Refused to take any responsibility and refused to cover costs of replacement. Lower than one star.

Why would anyone do business with a bank that won't post its local number online? Only an 888 number with voice mail hell is available.

I am having an exemplary experience with Synovus Bank! DeAnn Grayson, VP of the Meeting Street branch here in Charleston, South Carolina, got me to switch out of a much larger bank to Synovus. She is a client of mine, and she couldn’t have made the process easier.I have had a good experience at the Folly Road branch as well. If the future with Synovus is like the present, I will be a satisfied customer for life. Thank you so much for treating each customer like we matter. Synovus Bank on Meeting Street in Charleston is a great branch to do banking as they make it everything as easy as possible to accomplish all of your financial needs and goals. The staff here is very knowledgeable and professional and works hard to make sure that you feel valued and helped. It is well worth the trip to go to this branch.
