I don't even know what this place is, but the girl who is paid to stand in the doorway insulted us as we walked by.

DO NOT TRUST THIS STORE OR THE OWNER! They kept our returned goods without ever giving us a refund, as promised by the owner, Ms. Steinberg. Visiting from FL, we purchased a pair of sunglasses but realized there was a large scratch on the frame minutes after leaving the store. The owner, Ms. Steinberg, said she wouldn't give us a cash refund but would send a check later. We told her that we were leaving the next day and she promised she'd mail a refund check. The sunglasses were left with the owner and we never got a refund. So the owner first got our money for the sunglasses, then got the sunglasses back while keeping our money, and probably sold them again, still scratched, for more money.

DO NOT TRUST THE SHOP. The owner, Ms. Steinberg, sold us a pair of sunglasses that had a scratch on the lens. The scratched was noticed mere steps from leaving The Shop, that despite its 'no refund' policy (way to be customer friendly..), Ms. Steinberg promised she would refund the money via mail since we were only visiting SC for the day. Sure enough, the refund never came. The first time we called The Shop multiple times, once we even managed to speak with a sales associate and leave a message, but we never heard back from The Shop. Upon leaving an online review to the get Ms. Steinberg's attention, she responded claiming that we never left any contact information and that her store has a 'no refund' policy. Attached to this review is the picture of our carbon copy of the sunglasses' receipt that was promised to be refunded. Covered by Ms. Steinberg's pink info card in the picture is information by which to contact us and mail a refund. It is even labeled "refund" and has Ms. Steinberg's name at the top because she was the one to handle the return. DO NOT TRUST THE SHOP.

Rule #1 of retail, never turn a customer away! Opened the door to enter the store and a girl came running from the back saying "you can't come in, we are closed." It was 7:26 pm, and Google reviews linked to their website said that they were changing their hours to stay open until 8:00 pm. Clearly, the teenage girls working had somewhere they wanted to to be and rudely slammed the door in my face. I have never been so offended in my life and would caution anyone from spending any money here. This kind of customer service will likely not keep this store open with so much competition in the area. If I was the owner or manager, I would certainly want to know this information.

Living in the Charleston area, I'm not overly impressed with the selection of reasonably priced, fun clothes. I was extremely impressed with the clothes at Shop and I can't wait to get back there. My only issue is the hours. Closing at 5:30 makes it very difficult to get there, but I'll eventually make it back. I hope you're not really closed Sat & Sun like other posts or maybe I won't make it back :(

I went to Charleston to visit my family and we all decided to go shopping on the main shopping street there, I believe it is on Market Street. We decided to veer off the main road and go down some side streets to see what there was kind of shops we could find. We happened to stumble upon SHOP and so glad we did!! It was by far my favorite store in Charleston! The ladies there were so sweet and helpful when I was trying stuff on. They helped me put together some really great outfits! I also loved the price range, they had tops there for $20 and some that were $100. They also had a lot of designer clothes along with non-designer clothes. I am counting down the days until my next visit!!
