In the mid December of 2023 I had the privilege and pleasure to take an introductory lesson on kiteboarding with instructor Adriaan Lagaay of the Sessions company. Besides being very friendly, personable and engaging, Adrian is an outstanding kiteboarding instructor with years of experience and a passion for the sport that is contagious. I was most impressed by his teaching approach, which consisted of clear and simple explanation of the physical principles (e.g. environment, location, wind direction, etc.) of this sport, description of the kite's parts, their functions, strong emphasis on many of its safety aspects and actual hands-on practice of kite flying, which he introduced gradually, carefully and patiently.I definetly plan to continue taking kiteboarding lessons with Adriaan and will strongly recommend to my friends and acquaintaces to use him as their instructor in this exciting water sport.I.S

Fun time with Adrienne trying to learn kiteboarding. The kite launch site at Folly Beach is a great spot. It’s hard, but my instructor helped me make some progress.

We had a lesson with Adam Super and he is the best! You can tell he loves what he does and makes you just as excited to learn. We had a great day on the water and we plan to make this a regular activity on our yearly trips to Charleston!

Adam and his staff consistently provide world-class kiteboarding and efoil lessons. They are always happy to help and go the extra mile to ensure a great experience in the shop or on the water. I purchased some Manta5 hydrofoil bikes from them which have been one of my favorite purchases. They’re my go-to for everything water sports related.

Fantastic experience riding a e-foil with great equipment, instruction and location. The Waydoo Efoil worked really well and easy/safe to use, instruction how to be safe, operate, and get up and riding was exceptional and the location cannot be better with flat water and dolphins to join in the fun. Every boat or SUP or Kayak that you glide pass shout out in awe. Experience to be repeated - there is no better and easier way to get into what looks like an extreme sport but is like riding a bicycle with dolphins rather than cars riding alongside. Great work by Session Sports and the instructors to make easily accessible this experience to everyone who wants a memory of a lifetime and a passion for life.

I recently took a lesson with Session Sports! Every visit to Charleston is an absolute blast, guaranteed! They had a wide range of electric hydrofoil equipment including the Manta5 bike, Waydoo board, and Hydroflyer. We had an ecstatic adventure with Adriaan. Adam and his incredible staff always provide an awesome time on the water. Whether you're buying gear or taking lessons - You'll have an awesome Session!

I’ve had 3 lessons and am already up and riding. There’s a steep learning curve, but these guys are amazing teachers, there with you every step of the way. 10/10 recommend

I’ve taken Kiteboarding lessons in a variety of settings (schools, private, etc) around the world (Italy, Greece, London, Florida). I had my best session to date with Adriaan. Adriaan’s support through the 2-way microphone and coaching helped me make significant progress on multiple tricks.

Hate to give one star to any business, but I need to exchange an item and there has been no response to multiple emails, text message, voicemail or chat on the website. Multiple phone calls went unanswered. Far from the easy returns advertised on their website.

They seem to have a good selection. I would have placed a good sized order but they don't answer emails or phone calls so unfortunately that does not inspire confidence to buy.

I happened to be in Charleston and the wind was up . I called Session Sports and Adam responded with everything I needed to have great afternoon on the water. His info about where/when and what to use was spot on. Plus he is one hell of a kiter. Thank you for making one of my vacation days great.

Non-existent customer service. If you don't believe me then try calling them over several days and I assure you that they will be "busy" (and good for them if they are!) but 3 emails over several days left unanswered? Just close the shop and stay out on the water, braski!Now that we have a conversation I will increase from a one to a 3 star review. Not sure where the emails went to and not sure whose fault this is but the other problem is that Google search said that it would be delivered by Thursday August 4 which is why I initiated the dispute in on Friday August 5th ie OVER ONE WEEK BEFORE THE PRODUCT ARRIVED.Prompt refund-thanks.
