i almost asked for my 50$ reservation fee back at the end of this appointment just for wasting my time. this was the most chaotic experience of my life. and not in a fun “wedding dress excitement” chaos. a fever dream chaos. i felt incredibly unwelcome and rushed to the point where the stylist - who was talking so much and so fast and so intensely that i didnt even catch her name- was RIPPING dresses off over my head. kept telling me there was no privacy to be had here, bringing up sorority rush (i am not the sorority kind of girl?? i had no idea what she was talking about??) , and making sure i knew that she “understood” the struggle of big boobs….i never once mentioned my boobs…and she kept reminding me of their existence by telling me when each dress was getting stuck on that particular point on my frame. i felt more body shamed than i did in high school. awful awwwwful experience.

Amazing!! A must visit! I traveled from Chicago just to try on dresses here in Charleston and this was one of my favorite boutiques. The whole experience was amazing and all credited to Lissie! She made the experience so much fun and less stressful. I didn’t have much of an idea of what I wanted but Lissie helped narrow down my search and truly made me feel comfortable. I tried on dresses I never would have thought of and ended up loving! I was so glad I came and can’t recommend it enough!!

DO NOT GO HERE!! It was a terrible experience. The individual helping me was very rude and unprofessional. My experience was negative even starting with our first interaction. The sales individual made me feel unwelcome, asked my budget in front of my entire party, and made inappropriate comments about my weight. They made me feel like a burden for wanting to try multiple styles. They would not close the curtain completely when I was naked in the changing room and measured my bust in front of my entire party. if this were my first time trying on dresses, it may have ruined the entire experience. Would never recommend

YOU MUST REQUEST LISSIE! Oh my gosh. I can't speak highly enough of this experience and Maddison Row. I was so nervous to start my dress journey and frankly didn't have a super strong handle on what I was looking for. Lissie not only made the whole process extremely easy, but truly fun. It was like being with a close friend. She was so funny, so relaxed, and completely put me at ease. The way she takes you around the store and helps steer you towards dresses in your budget is perfect. She also found a dress that I wouldn't normally have picked to try on, but once I did, I totally fell in love. It was lightyears more me than any other dress I had tried on up to that point. This is far and away the best bridal shop experience I had during my search (in comparison to 4 other shops). I wish that I needed wedding dresses more often, just to go back and spend time with Lissie. If you are in Charleston looking for a wedding dress, this is a MUST.

Beware! DO NOT recommend Madison Row South. I had THE WORST experience. You couldn’t pay me $1,000,000 to go back there, it was truly a NIGHTMARE. I went in the spring of 2022. I was rushed bullied and pressured into making a decision I uncomfortable with. I ended up paying $5000 for a dress that I didn’t like because I just wanted to get out of there. After paying, the manager agreed to hold off on ordering the dress for two days in case I change my mind. Two hours and after I paid and left the store, I called left voicemails, texted and emailed the manager informing her I was sorry but I made a mistake and did not want to order. After reaching out incessantly that day, the manager texted back at 8:30 pm and said no problem. They hadn’t ordered the dress yet so it was no skin off their back. When they didn’t refund the whole $5200, I reached out by phone multiple times, left multiple messages and emails. They never got back to me until finally she said said they would only refund half the cost and give me a $2500 store credit to go towards another dress. Can you believe that ? It’s unfathomable. I went back to the store, as it was not too late to order anything to see what my options were, their inventory is low and there were 2 suitable options I could take home that day. One was the original dress I paid for and said I DIDN’T want. They were both horrible and not feasible options. They earned a free $2500. Utter disbelief.

Such a beautiful shop packed with dresses. It's tucked away in a courtyard Downtown Charleston. It was so nice to have the full attention of the dress shop! Make the appointment and go check them out!

Lindsey was WONDERFUL. I rarely write reviews, but felt the need to leave a note about this store. Maddison Row South has a beautiful interior and even more beautiful dresses. Huge selection of classic, modern, and wonderfully tailored gowns. Lindsey has perfected the art of making you feel comfortable and guiding you to your dress. Total girls girl and made the experience fun and memorable for our group of ladies! Highly recommend.

Madison Row South is literally a DREAM from the beauty on the outside to the beauty inside. I just wanted to say thank you so kindly to Michelle for her bridal dress expertise and her southern hospitality! Bridal dress shopping at MRS was nothing short of AMAZING!!! I absolutely loved the entire personable experience. Every southern gal should most definitely shop with you at MRS to get the ultimate bridal experience. I will truly cherish my bridal dress shopping experience at MRS & can definitely say every bride to be needs a bridal dress shopping experience at MRS!
