I knew from the moment Kate opened the door she was going to be my dressmaker. We had the best time while at our appointment and the experience was like we were at home trying on dresses. Comfy sofa, cold champagne, and great hospitality. We ended up doing all of the dresses for the bridal party with her and they were perfect for our beach wedding. The dress was gorgeous and Kate provided the best input to make my dream dress come true. The quality is outstanding and perfection. THANK YOU to both Kate and Llewellyn for all of your support and friendship thru this experience. You both ROCK!!!

I had the BEST experience with Katherine McDonald. It was so nice to have a one-on-one experience with no one else around. She was so easy to work with, and she's so friendly. She was the first (and only) place I went, and I'm glad I did. She was there at the alterations, and even hand delivered my dress before the wedding, which I've never heard of before. I also liked how my dress looked different from any others I've seen. I would definitely recommend her!

Collaborating with Katherine on a one of a kind, custom dress was the absolute highlight of my wedding. She is attentive, warm, and incredibly creative. At one point she was sending me pictures of samples while she was in New York sourcing fabrics so that she could find one just for my dress - a small testament to her dedication and thoughtfulness. Being able to work so closely with Katherine as the designer and knowing exactly where my dress was sourced and created made the process so intimate and special.

LIKE FAMILY TO ME! This team will make you feel like you are the only bride in the entire world. They not only go out of their way to really make everything perfect, they pay so much attention to detail you will not even have to worry about a thing! As a bride, with so much on my plate, I can honestly say that everyone at Kate McDonald took so much stress off me and make my day that much more special by being apart of the process. If you want a true personal experience and want to look back on your wedding dress picking process with all amazing memories, look no further then this amazing place. I can say with confidence that working alongside Katherine McDonald was the single most wonderful part of planning our wedding. There is a generous and genuine touch that Katherine gives to her client, so much that it takes dress shopping to an entirely other level. My sister, mom, and I were thrilled to work with Katherine on both custome bridesmaids gown, and a custom wedding dress. I miss the moments we had when working together (so many laughs, so so many) but am grateful for the time we shared! No one else like her. You've got to visit!

My daughter had her dress custom made and I would tell anyone getting married, no matter your price range, reach out ! I don't know how we could have been happier. The dress was stunning and elegant! The environment was amazing and sophisticated! And the people were friendly and professional and right on point! It was absolutely the best experience ever !

I LOVE KATE!!! She made all of my wedding dress dreams come true, and even made me a big, southern bow for the back of my dress. And added buttons to it! I especially love that my bridal salon was able to communicate with her directly, and it made me feel good to support a local designer. I'll cherish my dress forever, and I'll never forget how beautiful I felt in it!

I recently got married in Charleston, SC this past December. After I got engaged, I would scroll through Instagram, looking for inspiration for the perfect wedding dress. I ended up scrolling to a picture of three young ladies in these BEAUTIFUL wedding dresses, that were very unique, yet classic at the same time. I knew immediately I wanted to buy my wedding dress from this designer. I simply found out that the dresses were designed by Kate McDonald Bridal, a local designer in Charleston. I thought it was a perfect match since I was going to be getting married in Charleston as well. I got the designers info from her own Instagram page and sent her an email inquiring about one of the dresses. I immeditely got a friendly response and booked an appointment. The day of the appointment I brought along one of my bridesmaids who lives in Charleston. What I thought was going to be a quick try on, turned into hours of laughter, fun, and a wedding dress! It was SUCH an enjoyable experience, I left feeling like I was best friends with Katherine McDonald. Her teams customer service is the best I have ever experienced, which is VERY important, especially when trying on the most important dresses one will probably ever wear. She even helped me pick out/ design my bridesmaid dresses that went along with my wedding dress beautifully. I would defiently recommend this designer to a future customer who is looking for a wedding dress/ bridesmaid dress/ or any dress for a special occasion. It is amazing what she can do. I depended so much on Kate McDonald during my wedding process, that I even wore one of her dresses to my rehearsal dinner. Point is, she is the BEST and a GREAT designer to work with!

She made my rehearsal dinner gown (as well as my sister and sister-in-law's dresses for my wedding), and the entire experience was streamlined, easy, and fun. Absolutely LOVED working with Katherine and Kate McDonald Bridal. They were absolutely lovely the entire time, and when there was a small mistake on my order they we quick to fix it with such a great attitude. I got SO MANY compliments on my gown and how it was the perfect blend of modern and classic; it was both gorgeous AND comfortable, and I have never felt so confident.
