An exceptional experience from start to finish! Our recent Leadership Conference at the French Quarter Inn/Spectator Hotel exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance was inviting, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The conference facilities were top-notch, providing everything we needed for a productive and successful event. The meeting rooms were spacious, well-equipped with modern technology, and maintained at the perfect temperature for comfort throughout the day.One standout feature was the impeccable catering service. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks were all provided with a diverse selection that catered to various dietary needs. The quality and presentation of the food were simply outstanding, receiving rave reviews from all attendees. My compliments to the chef and their team.Despite the rigorous schedule of all-day meetings, the staff ensured that our needs were met promptly and with a smile. Their professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction truly made a difference in our overall experience.Additionally, the hotel's accommodations were luxurious and provided a comfortable retreat after a long day of meetings. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and appointed with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay.Overall, our conference at the French Quarter Inn/Spectator Hotel was a resounding success, thanks in large part to the exceptional service and facilities provided by the hotel staff, but in particular Jessica Bowman, the Area Director, who I worked closely with to arrange everything and Lynn Maher who was our Banquet Captain & Events Manager. Both were extremely accommodating - no ask was too big. They handled my every request (and I had quite a few) with a quick response and a skilled efficiency. It was truly my pleasure to work with these ladies. I highly recommend this hotel for any conference or event and look forward to returning in the future.

I stay at hotels frequently for work. This is one of the nicest I have been in. They advertise that they are routinely on the top 25 hotels in the country and I woulden't doubt it. The location is perfect for visiting the historic district. Service was great. We loved all the food, snacks and drinks they offer as part of the room cost. Its a small hotel so it has a very intimate feel. The only negative I would say is the standard king bed room is a bit on the small size. It was nicely decorated and the bathroom was spacious but the bedroom felt crampt. However, being in a downtown historic district you kind of expect that. Great trip overall I would definately stay here if its in your budget.

Stayed here about 2 weeks ago. Nothing but positive things to say. The staff was very friendly and the amenities made the price tag worth it. The rooms were very spacious for a normal hotel room. The location was unbeatable. You felt like you were in a quiet neighborhood, but walk out the front door and you are steps from the Charleston City Market. Super close to wonderful restaurants and the waterfront. Some of the amenities we loved were wine/cheese reception every evening, warm cookies at night, small candy bar available throughout the day. My husband's favorite was the pillow concierge. You could call downstairs and order about 7 different options of pillows. I've never been to Charleston before, but would stay here any time we go back!

By far the nicest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. The room was huge, clean, and had an awesome view of the market and downtown Charleston. The staff was amazing, they let us check in early after a long drive, had a turn down service, left us waters at bedtime, brought us breakfast to order in the morning, and the wine and cheese/milk and cookies was awesome. We visit Charleston every couple of years and I don’t think I could stay anywhere else after staying here. Southern hospitality at its finest. My son told me he’s “going to miss the 5 star life” after staying here ?. Usually our kids don’t like anywhere they stay but this hotel was unreal. Loved every minute of it and we can’t wait to come back.Rooms: Large with great views.Nearby activities: Right outside is the market, the cruise port, and king street is only a few blocks away.Walkability: Easy access to everything downtown Charleston has to offer.Food & drinks: Nightly wine and cheese spread for adults and milk and cookies for kids (okay and adults)

Everything about this place exudes charm. You get that impression in the friendliness of the staff, through the complimentary snacks every evening, and so many other features - after all, how many places have you been that have their own pillow concierge? My folks and I arrived here on Tuesday and each of us had an exceptional experience. After checking in at the desk and receiving complimentary champagne, we made our way to our rooms and took in the accommodations. The rooms are spacious and my folks' suite overlooked the market behind the hotel. Given the plentiful activity happening on the street, there was plenty to look at for those moments when they sat out on their patio. And hey, while we're on the subject of location, the French Quarter Inn could not be more conveniently located. Charleston is a very walking-friendly town and you're in such close proximity to many touristy things by staying here. They also have bikes you can rent but being that I am built for comfort and not speed, I opted to stroll the town in my Air Force 1s.But while the rooms are fantastic and the location cannot be beat, it's truly the staff and service that elevate this hotel to a rarified status in my mind. Everyone, from the valet to the housekeeping staff brings their "A" game on a daily basis. And that's tough to do in the service industry because, well, us tourists can be a high-maintenance bunch.Yet everyone here fostered an atmosphere that felt like we'd been hanging out here for years and not, you know, a handful of days. You get used to seeing familiar faces over the days you spend here and whether it was the front desk team or the bartender (shout out to Ruta for her impeccable engagement and ability to juggle multiple requests), the staff here could not be more polished and attentive.Which is great because the daily service features are in a class by themselves. Breakfast is available daily direct to your room and between the three of us, I think we exhausted all of the available options - spoiler alert: they were all tasty. Mid-afternoon wine and cheese is offered in the lobby area, too, but the showstopper would be the cookies and milk available every night. These "little" gestures (and truthfully, they're not "little" at all) add up to big impressions and I challenge you to find another hotel out there that excels at this kind of inviting atmosphere. All in all, French Quarter Inn should be an essential destination for anyone visiting the area. You'll be able to sleep well staying here knowing you're in exceptional care. (And also because the pillow concierge will assist you with finding the best sleeping option.)

I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the French Quarter Inn in Charleston, SC for a work offsite, and I cannot sing their praises enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was the perfect choice for our large group gathering. It is nestled in downtown near everywhere you want to be, restaurants, the market; walking distance from some wonderful food choices and rooftops!I was in charge of planning the whole offsite. First and foremost, the coordination with their staff for our room needs and meeting space was incredibly smooth and accommodating. Jessica Bowman and Lynn Maher went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was taken care of, making our stay seamless and enjoyable. Now, let's talk about the food – it was nothing short of sensational. The catered hotel food was an absolute delight, with flavors that made our taste buds dance. But that's not all; the complimentary cheese plate, freshly baked cookies, and in-room breakfast were delightful surprises that made us feel pampered and well taken care of. The complementary candy at the front desk provided a much welcomed sugar-high when necessary.Speaking of pampering, the staff at the French Quarter Inn was exceptional. They were attentive and always ready to assist with a smile. The cleaning crew even visited our rooms twice a day, leaving us with a sense of luxury and comfort. And let's not forget the sweet touch of extra chocolates left at our bedside – it's the little things that make a difference. The meeting room space was abundant and perfectly suited to our needs. They even accommodated dietary restrictions without any fuss, ensuring that everyone had a delightful dining experience.I must also mention the charming hotel rooms. My room had a balcony and a fireplace, adding a touch of elegance to my stay. Some of their suites had a bath tub! The French Quarter Inn truly knows how to combine classic luxury with modern comfort. My experience at the French Quarter Inn was nothing short of fantastic. From the friendly and attentive staff to the delectable food and impeccable rooms, this hotel exceeded all expectations. I can confidently say that whenever I return to Charleston, the French Quarter Inn will be my only choice for accommodations. Thank you for making our work offsite an unforgettable experience!

This was the best hotel experience I've had. We arrived during the complimentary wine and cheese party in the lobby. We were also offered a glass of complimentary champagne at check in. The lady that checked us in introduced herself, along with her collegue. She offered dinner suggestions and touring advice which was most helpful. The lobby itself is beautiful with a circular staircase and a nod to the past. Very comfortable and beautiful.I left my husband to deal with the car while I did the check in. Minutes later he was standing beside me having handed the car over to the valet. The valet brought all our luggage to our room before we had even entered the room. This allowed us to enjoy the wine and cheese party which was wonderful after an 11 hour drive. The wines were also very good and the snacks were fresh and pleniful.Upon entering the room, we were very impressed by the grand king sized bed and general size of the room. The washroom was very clean and well appointed. Everything worked in the room and was clean and comfortable. The hotel has brought back some of the things that were lost to covid like turn down service and the option of having breakfast in your room. I was thrilled to see these services offered again. Having breakfast in the room was a delight for us and it was delicious. The hotel itself is right in the middle of everthing. You can walk everywhere no problem and we felt compleltely safe.I would not hestate to recommend this hotel to anyone. It was wonderful and I appreciated that they treated guests so well. Nice to have the personal touches back.

We came down to the French Quarter Inn for a mini vacation after Christmas. We absolutely love staying here because the staff is friendly, the rooms are amazing and the amenities are top notch. Plus the location in the heart of downtown, allows us to explore the city with ease.My family has stayed here many times before, and we’ve always enjoyed it. I recommend this hotel to anyone willing to pay a little more and experience the charm of Charleston and the FQI. We will definitely be back again!Rooms: Spacious and the most comfortable beds and pillows ever!! Nice bathrooms too.Walkability: Right in the heart of downtown so walking is easy.Noteworthy details: Wine and cheese reception every day is fun. Plus cookies at 8:30 and turn down service are an added touch.

I would love to give this place a five star but some things can’t allow me to do if. Our room was very nice until it rained . T carpet got soa and made it uncomfortable to walk around. Had to put towels down and still was soaking wet. Also, our bathroom was clean except for extremely dusty vents and a moldy shower. There was reddish mold on walls that would come right off and slimy. Some things in bathroom like toilet paper holder and door knob was about to break off. Beautiful bathroom just not clean shower at all. I had to clean it best i could before using. Service was amazing and most were very nice and courteous. Elevator was quite dirty on floor and can tell it was not wiped down or cleaned regularly unfortunately. Food was very good and offered all sorts of things for their guests. Will definitely come back! Loved the customer service and the employees!!!! Especially Toby! The housekeepingladies were so nice and courteous. They deserve the five stars!!!!Rooms: Very quaint and sophisticated. Have the old time feel! Beds were comfortable and had turn down service. Our room was somewhat clean for most part. Dusty fixtures and tv was about to go out. Had spots and discoloration. Had issues with our fireplace but was fixed next day!Nearby activities: Carriage rides ride across street and market place and restaurants. There’s a lovely scent store nearby that allows you to make your own room sprays and candles and other things! Ghost tours available also!Walkability: You are right in middle of market street you can walk to everywhere!

Absolutely wonderful place! You can't beat the location. We walked everywhere because it is so central. Every single staff person was kind and helpful. The food is incredible--from the free breakfast spread , the wine and cheese time and the warm cookies at night. The size was perfect--true boutique hotel size. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if we come back to Charleston.
