My friend and I were on James Island and stopped here for a picnic. Neither of us knew this place existed before this evening, we were on Folly Beach and wanted to eat on our way out but didn’t want to eat in a restaurant so we grabbed take out and googled parks near us w/picnic tables. We got there just as the sun was setting and the view was beautiful and serene there, maybe because we were the only people there. There are several picnic tables, small play area, small dock to walk ok or fish from, adult swing that faces water, and a small charcoal grill.Playground: SmallPicnic area: A few metal picnic tables and small charcoal grill

My secret neighborhood vista. Park benches and swings. A unique view of the James Island connector. Small pier for closer views of the water. Picnic tables and a kiosk for curbing your dog.

Extremely small "park". These pics make it look much larger. Fine for kids but not much of a point for adults.

Scenic view of the James Island connector, and the Charleston skyline. Great space for a small family BBQ or child's B Day.

Always count on a beatific sunrise at this neighborhood park. Half the time, you will enjoy the sun rising over the horizon solo, but the other half, you’ll find one or two others - from the neighborhood or just in the know - and never not enjoyed the company of the new friend I met there.

Nice little neighborhood!

Would not recommend for kids. There are 2 big kid swings, 2 little kid swings and 2 rocking seats. Everything is unkept and dirty. Broken plastic utensils everywhere, random clothing articles all around. It’s kind of that look that makes you look for needles.

Small park with beautiful views from the dock and some very peaceful spots to chill! This is one of our favorite parks on James Island.

It was not what I expected the pictures looked better than in person.
