I have had a great experience all three times I’ve taken my Mercedes van to Dinkins.
I really appreciate Denise at the front desk and the guys in the back who really take good care of my van!
They are prompt, responsive, and care and take care of my car!
I feel like I’m in great hands at Dinkins from reception to mechanic.
We are very lucky to have Dinkins Auto Services on James Island!

I NEVER leave reviews but this place! I’m a young girl who just moved to Charleston, and I had clogged ac and sun roof ducts. They took care of it in 2 hours!! I just felt like they were really honest and very well priced. I plan to use them for future repairs!

Always kind, courteous, and do great work at a fair price without trying to upsell on unnecessary stuff
Have always and will always continue to go here for stuff I can't do myself
Also, Denise is the sweetest woman

With so many shops short staffed, I had to wait two weeks in the heat of July to find a shop to fix my vans A/C. I deliver the newspaper so must have my vehicle everyday. I dropped my van off prior to opening, they diagnosed the problem but had to wait for the parts. They let me know it was ready, paid them but obviously couldn’t drive two cars home. When I picked the car up, the A/C was ice cold before I left the parking lot. I’m in heaven!!

My 06 car needed some TLC to keep it on the road for a bit longer before I buy something new. Dinkins was great! They gave my Nissian a full checkup, told me what was wrong, explained what issues were “must fix” and what things could wait. Gave me a reasonable price and did the work quick. Now she’s running good as new (:

They repaired my old 2008 Subaru Forester AC - same day service. Replaced AC compressor and had my baby cooling like it was brand new again. Didn’t charge me for a bunch of work I didn’t need. I’m going to bring our 2005 1500 HD to them next. The AC is not working. Tried to work on it myself but, need a professional to get it working again. Denise at the front desk was very friendly and kept me informed of the Subaru repair status. Nice people.

Joe, the owner, is phenomenal. He went above and beyond to fix a very complicated issue with my vehicle. He is always my go to mechanic. Finally a mechanic you can trust.

My car broke down and I was able to have it towed to Dinkins Auto Service. They fixed the car and it was ready for me in 24 hours. They are a busy shop and made the time to fit me in and I am very grateful. Several mechanics have tried to fix the car over the past year, even a Volvo dealership, and I think the mechanic at Dinkins finally solved the problem. Thank you!
